Pittsburgh knew coming into this week 8 match up versus Cleveland a loss would drop them 4 games behind the Browns and essentially end their season 9 weeks early. 1st Quarter Both teams seemed to be in a feeling out stage as not much of note happened as the score would indicate, 0-0 after 1 quarter. 2nd Quarter The Browns jumped out front 3-0 after a 30 yard FG by Jack Parker. Pittsburgh got the offense rolling and would take a 7-3 lead when Big Ben connected with Jerrel Jernigan for a 26 yard TD strike. Shaun Suisham added a 36 yard FG and the Steelers lead 10-3 at the half. 3rd Quarter After an amazing halftime performance by the Cleveland Steamers the Browns came out firing on all cylinders and moved the ball past midfield. On first down from the Steelers 36 yard line, Mike Vick tossed a TD to Rookie TE Eric Legaux who was wide open after Troy Polamalu bit on the playfake and the score was tied 10-10. Pittsburgh would kick a FG near the end of the quarter giving them a 13-10 lead going into the 4th quarter. 4th Quarter The Browns would once again take the lead when Mike Vick and TE Legaux hooked up again, this time a 13 yard strike making it 17-13 Cleveland midway through the 4th. Pittsburgh was not gonna go away without a fight and answered back immediately when Big Ben threw to Antonio Brown. After making a few moves and a few players miss, Brown scored from 34 yards out putting Pittsburgh back on top 20-17. Cleveland then moved the ball downfield looking to tie or take the lead on what seemed to be the final drive of the game. After being stopped on third down at the Steeler 27, Cleveland would tie the game on a 44 yard FG with 20 seconds left. After Chris Rainey took the kickoff out to about the 20 Big Ben launched a bomb in the direction of Antonio Brown who made an amazing catch over the Cleveland defender and ran down to the Browns 6 yard line before being tackled with 2 seconds left. Pittsburgh kicker Shaun Suisham would then kick a 24 yard FG as time expired giving the Steelers the win, 23-20. Great game man, I look forward to doing it again!
