The Steelers traveled to Cincy to face the rival Bengals in week 8. The game started just as the Steelers wanted with their defense forcing consecutive 3 and outs. The offense didn't get going until their second drive of the day and it was capped off by a touchdown run by HB Marcel Tillman. The Bengals would respond and kick a field goal of their own to make it 7-3. Fast forward to the second half and the score the same. The Steelers would tack on 2 additional field goals and held a 13-3 lead midway through the 4th. The Bengals never stopped fighting and would add a field goal late in the 4th. Figuring a 1st down would seal the game, the Steelers came out aggressive which would backfire on their first play when TE Jace Amaro would catch a pass and appear to be close to the first down before being stripped on the play. Following a sack to make it 3rd and long, the Bengals would find a hole in the Steelers defense and score on about a 40 yard td pass to tie the game with less than a minute to go. Unfazed, QB Zane Grew would connect on a few passes to get the Steelers into field goal range and they would kick the game winning field goal with no time left on the clock for a 16-13 win.
