Pittsburgh went on the road against division foe Cincinnati in Week 7. The first 3 quarters were all about defense for Pittsburgh as they held the Bengals scoreless. The fourth and final quarter was a different story though. Pittsburgh started off the scoring in the 2nd quarter when Big Ben connected with TE Heath Miller for a 25 yard TD strike. Miller caught the pass, shook off a couple Bengal defenders and stretched out for the score. The Steelers added a FG in the 3rd quarter putting them up 10-0 entering the 4th and the fun was about to begin. Cincinnati ended their scoring drought with a M. Nugent FG cutting the lead to 10-3, but Pittsburgh came out firing on the next play. Sensing a heavy blitz on first and 10 from the 20 Big Ben rifled a quick pass to WR Antonio Brown who took it 80 yards to the house putting Pittsburgh up 17-3. The Bengals wasted no time moving downfield, and cut the lead to 17-10 when Andy Dalton dumped the ball to Rookie WR Sanu from 4 yards out for a TD. Pittsburgh would then answer on the very next play from scrimmage when rookie RB Chris Rainey took the handoffl on the stretch play and after beating a few Bengal defenders was on his way 77 yards to paydirt making it 24-10 with about 4 minutes to play. I think the Steeler defense was only prepared for 3 quarters of play because the Bengals once again moved downfield rather easily and scored again on another Dalton to Sanu TD strike this one from 15 yards away and the Bengals had hope with 3 timeouts and just under 2 minutes to go. After being stuffed on 1st and 2nd down runs Pittsburgh found themselves facing a 3rd and long, Big Ben took the third down snap and hit his target Antonio Brown giving the Steelers a 1st down and essentially wrapping up the game. The Steelers were forced to punt with 6 secs left setting up a potentially game tying punt return but it didn't happen and Pittsburgh held on for the win 24-17.
