A cool article I read over on footballsfuture.com
Pretty cool stuff Keller.
I shake my head at this stuff though because I think about all the pointless and uninteresting topics I did reports on in college and think to myself why the hell I never did something like this.....
Yeah I though it was a pretty cool article, which I why I had to post it.
2012 Nigel Bradham40-Yard Dash 4.64 Bench press 24Vertical jump 37Broad jump 10'1Three-cone drill 7.18 20-yard shuttle 4.37 If someone has some more time, where does the above information fit into the article Keller posted?
Let's get a front page article about this
Nigel Bradham is a bybrid OLB he fits into either scheme but his athleticism may be better utilized in a 3-4 system. I have coached against him when he was in high school and he had the ability to cover wr man to man in the state of Florida. His test are off the mark for what Keller posted however, i think he is an outlier who will be successful in the NFL.
Doesn't seem like the FSU kids were ready for the combine. They will probably have a better pro day.
Thanks man, I know he is "labeled" as a hybrid but I don't really see him being able to cover in the NFL. He has problems with stiffness and even though he is "athletic" and a monster, I don't think he could come from the edge. Main reason I think the previous coaching staff really put him behind, most notably Chuck the Chest Amato...
I just saw the numbers posted on the TN board and saw this thread the other day and wanted to see the relation. Say he were to drop to Pittsburgh, I would love to see him at MLB besides Timmons and I could see him do real well in that position.
I could see that.
Well, the obvious is that he fits into neither category A nor category B at the beginning.
As far as speed/twitch go, I couldn't find a time for his 10 yard split... so I guess we could assume something like 1.62... which is somewhat in the middle of the ranges around what other people around his 40 time were recorded as running.
His Exp Power rating would be ~.93.
Avg Speed ~2.93
Twitch was weird. I only looked at a few players, but he didn't include the last "modifier" in the charts for some reason. The first number for twitch is what it would be in the chart, the second is following the formula given.
So... comparing with the chart he lands in the "moderate risk" category.
Isn't that Jmustang1968 's job?
Great read, nice post Keller.
