4 Turnovers by the Canes along with a Pounding running game by the Ducks prove to be too much for Miami

On the 1st play from scrimmage the Nittany Lions threw an INT setting the Ducks up for their 1st score and they never looked back. Penn State ran the ball on the Ducks behind "STUD" Sophomore RB, John Garrett who had 7 broken tackles and kept the Duck defense off guard just enough to make them respect the run.
It wasn't enough however as the Duck Defense picked off 2 passes and that proved to be the diffference.
Once again Oregon RB, Jeff Burns had a HUGE day. Rushing 23 times for 187 yards and 1 TD. Oregon did not turn the ball over today and QB, Pat Lewis is good enough with a 9 for 17 passing day for 164 yards and 3 TD's

    Sun Devils @ Oregon
After playing the likes of Miami and #2 Penn State, the Ducks had a little let down in this game. Defensive the played very well holding the Sun Devils to just 133 Total Yards. They completely shut down the rushing attack of Arizona State, holding them to -25 yards on 17 attempts! After the same issue that hurts them defensively hurt them again tonight. The hurry-up 4 & 5 wide sets allowed the Sun Devils to get down field 2 times but the defense stiffened both times only allowing a FG.
Offensively the Duck were lethargic and didn't look good at all. They ran for 110 yards and threw the ball well going 11/16 for 207 yards and 2 TD's but could never really bust the game open.
The Highlight of the game had to be the ALL YELLOW UNI'S the Ducks wore...they were awesome!

The Duck used a punishing defense to dominate this game allowing just 15 yards on the ground and 132 yards through the air.
But the Duck attack on the ground was just as punishing! The Ducks had to back go over 100 yards on the day as Jeff Burn added to his already big stats with 139 yards and 3 TD's while his back-up Derek Romero added another 129 yards and 2 TD's on just 9 carries.

The Duck defense allowed the Huskies to drive down the field on their opening drive and then forced a turnover and never looked back. They would sacked the Huskies QB twice in the endzone for safeties and held the Huskies running game to -2 yards rushing on 18 carries.
The Duck offense used the Defense to set them up often to jump all over the Huskies early and often. A 16-7 halftime score saw a 2nd half blowout with Oregon outscoring Washington 30-0 to win 46-7.

With UCLA up on the line of scrimmage to stop the Nations leading rusher, it left the secondary alone to cover and they just couldn't get the job done. Lewis of Oregon threw for 498 yards and 4 TD's while #14 Atkins hauled in 11 catches for a School Record 283 yards and 3 TD's. The nations leading rusher was still able to manage 80 yards on 17 carries and 1 score. Burns is just 1 TD away from tying the school record of 15 rushing TD's for the a season.

Pete Lewis has another 400 yard passing day with 6 TD's and no int's! Mike Adam caught 8 passes for 140 yards and 1 TD while other such as Atkins with 3 TD's and Smith with 2 TD's had a field day running through the secondary of Arizona. The Wildcats were the 2nd Team in a row to gang up on the Nations #1 Rusher and hold Burns to under 100 yards rushing but in doing so gave up all kinds of yards through the air.
