    2014-15 Texas A&M Aggies

    Expectations
    1) Win Big 12 South
    2) Win Big 12 Conference
    4) BCS Bowl
    3) National Title Appearance

    Key Players
    Offense
Depending on how well the new staff likes :RS:Fr QB Allen Bonner he will be given the reins and :RS:Jr Kevin Allen will backup the youngster. The backfield is filled with power 5'11'' 220, 5'11'' 232, and 5'11'' 199. WRs have a good balance ranging from 6'1'' to 6'5'' and speeds of 82 to 93. The weak spot is the line, how well can an 79-80 avg overall produce?

    Defense
Ryan Hayes will anchor the defense at MLB (93 ovr) making 91 tackles last year. Ryan Scott will help hold the trenches at 6'4'' 307lbs (93 ovr) made 44 tackles last year. The secondary is the strength of this team, top 4 corners have 90+ man and zone coverage. Coach Knight may elect to go young at the safety positions, we will know opening day.

    Freshmen & Newcomers
Quarterback- :RS:FR Allen Bonner- 6'3'' 193lbs New coach, New era
Wide Receiver- Fr Courtney Huff- 6'5'' 188lbs Inserted into the 4th WR, watch him to go vertical on the outside.
Safety- Soph Mike Woodard- 6'4'' 209lbs May see time at either safety position
Safety- Fr Brady Washington- 6'5'' 204lbs May see time at either safety

    Big games/rivalries
The current week of the season of course. Purdue will be a challenge with an established coach. UCLA. Texas Tech is my second most anticipated game of the year and Tulsa to round out the year.

    Recruiting Class
1st year- fill the needs and see if I can find some diamonds and maybe grab a 4 star or two.

A&M escapes with a victory vs. 10 UCLA

College Station, TX-- Texas A&M coming off a loss to #18 Purdue had another chance to take down a ranked team as UCLA came in at #10. A very defensive game where the first half there were 4 FGs and a UCLA lead of 9-3 into halftime. A&M was able to force a punt to open up the 3rd quarter and had a drive that resulted in the game's first TD and gave them the lead 10-9. UCLA would battle back and take the lead back with a FG with 6:17 remaining in the 4th, 12-10. A&M would be forced to punt on their next drive and the Bruins faced a 4th and 6 from the A&M 43 and decided to go against the punt and put 5 wrs out on the field. A&M played cover 2 and CB Keyes picked the pass off and went 67 yards for the score (2pt) with 2:21 remaining, 18-12. UCLA would comeback poised, cutting through the A&M defense flawlessly, making it look easy compared to the first 3 quarters to score with 1:06 left and the lead 19-18. A&M would harness the challenge as rookie QB Bonner wanted to respond unlike he did last week vs. Purdue. He led the charge downfield and was able to get to the 35 yard line with 0:04 left and a TO left to bring out the kicking team. UCLA would burn a TO, icing the kicker but it didnt matter as Washington struck the ball and nailing it right down the middle with the students rushing the field ending the game with a 21-19 win for the Aggies.

Troy to a 3-0 lead into the second half explosion of the Aggies. QB Bonner and WR Olson would hook up twice in the second quarter for TDs (19 & 20 yards). Eric Mosley and Rob Bryant would rush for a TD apiece, as A&M took a 28-13 lead into halftime. A&M would come right out the tunnel to score on a 33 yard TD pass from Bonner to Huff after a nice kick return by Olson. Mosley would score a pair of TDs and the A&M defense would score a fumble return to make the final score 59-13.

A&M defends home turf, beats #2 Red Raiders

When you play A&M your offense better be prepared to score early and in bunches, because once the defense figures it out, it's bend but don't breaks style. The Red Raiders doubled the yardage of A&M holding the advantage of total offense 455 to 231. Fast Forward to the last possession of the 4th quarter with A&M holding a 3 point advantage, 24-21. Texas Tech faced with a 4th and long completed a 38 yard pass stopping the clock with 5 secs remaining. Coach Max without any TOs tried to call a play and hurry to the line but time wasn't on the Raiders side and expired.

Texas Tech QB Harris completed 26 of 47 for 408 yards but only threw one TD and 3 INTs. The A&M defense came up huge with the INTs as they returned one for a TD and another pick came inside the redzone. Aggie QB Bonner is held back from his accuracy problem, completing 8 of 17 for 181 yards with a TD and INT.
