Ryan Tannehill's debut as an Eagle has been deemed a success. Tannehill finished the game 11 of 20 for for 278 yards, 1 TD and more importantly no turnovers. He finished with a QBR of 116%. With numbers like those the Philadelphia faithful will quickly move on from the Michael Vick era. Josh Freeman of the Tampa Bay Bucs also had a solid game going 16 for 34, 399 yards, 3 TD's and only 1 INT. He finished the contest with a QBR of 107%. Both teams seem to be on the right path in this very young season and both could cause problems for teams down the line.

    Quarter 1:

The Eagles would come out firing in this one. After stopping the Bucs on their first three opening possessions, Philadelphia would march down the field and score touchdowns on all of theirs. Lasean McCoy and Stanley Havili would each punch one in from 3 yards out in quarter 1 bringing the Eagle lead to 14-0 after the first.

    Quarter 2:

The Eagles would pick right up where they left off from the first quarter when Ryan Tannehill connected with Jeremy Maclin from 42 yards out. This would bring Philly to what seemed to be a commanding 21-0 lead. However; the Bucs, led by quarterback Josh Freeman, would then finally get going. Freeman connected with Vincent Jackson for a long gain all the way down to the Eagle 1 yard line, which would eventually lead to a Lagarette Blount touchdown. The first mistake of the game would then come when DeSean Jackson tried to field a punt, got hit, and out popped the ball. The Bucs would fall on it and on their next possession Blount would again find the end zone bringing the score to 21-14 Eagles at the end of two.

    Quarter 3:

On Philly's opening possession of the second half, running back Lesean McCoy would find pay dirt from 30 yards out and quickly give the Eagles a 14 point lead. Freeman however, would not be outdone. It only took him 2 or 3 plays to find a streaking Arrelious Benn from 43 yards and they were once again back in the ball game, 28-21. Later in the quarter, it would be Freeman again who connected with one of his targets. This time Travis Beckum from 34 yards. The Bucs had finally crawled all the back from a 21 point deficit to tie things up heading into the 4th, 28-28.

    Quarter 4:

The quarter would start off slow and be a defensive struggle. The only points either team was able to muster was off of two separate Alex Henery field goals, which put the Eagles up 34-28. Josh Freeman would methodically bring his team back down the field pass after pass. He got all the way down to the Eagle 30 yard line, when he finally made his first mistake of the ball game. Demeco Ryans undercut a crossing route and ran it back 81 yards for the score. That would seal the game. Although the Bucs would add a late score to make it 41-35. However; they failed to recover the onside kick and that was the ball game. The Eagles win a huge Monday night opened in Tampa Bay, 41-35.

    Players of the Game:

    PHI - WR / Jeremy Maclin - 6 Catches, 133 Yards, 1 TD

    TB - QB / Josh Freeman - 16/34, 399 Yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Good game Chef! Glad I could make it interesting in the end as it didn't look like it was going that way early. Good luck the rest of the way man!
