    Tcu Recruiting & Game Summary

This was a statement game for the Tcu horned frogs and that statement is "were not dead yet"...from the opening kick off to the final whistle the game was dominated by the horned frogs relentless ground game which boasted two 100yd rushers and had 3 different rbs scoring a touchdown, but the pass game wasnt far behind Andy Dalton the junior qb proved to be one of the most accurate qbs in the Ncaa going 13-20 for 200yds and 1td with 0 picks...the defense gave up one first half td but never let BYU into the redzone for the rest of the game...At the end of the game the Horned Frogs sent a message to the Utes and the BCS "were comin for you"

Once again the TCU Horned Frogs proved they are a team to be feared in the MWC crushing rival UNLV 73-0 two weeks before facing the #2 team in the nation....

It was once again the running trio of the frogs that made up the bulk of the yards mainly because this wasnt even close by the end of the 1st quarter the pass game really never got to take flight starting qb Dalton was just 7-11 going for 94yds no tds no picks, and backup Marcus Jackson was only 1-3 for 23yds and a td, mainly because by the time he came into the game in the 2nd half the game was over with the frogs leading 56-0...

The rushing trio of Joseph Turner, Ryan Christian, and Jai Cavness combined for a total of 497 yds and 7tds, they just simply couldnt be contained even in the second half with the 2nd unit on the field it was clear UNLV didnt belong on the same field as the frogs....

The stingy defense of the frogs gave up just 16yds rushing on 18 attempts, and just 69yds passing on 27 attempts while forcing 2 picks one resulting in a touchdown and 1 fumble returned for a td...

This is clearly not a team to be messed with or takin lightly next week the frogs take on the San Diego State aztecs but eveyone knows their really looking ahead two weeks at the big showdown with the Utes...will the aztecs catch them sleeping? I doubt it this new coach seems to take a no nonsense approach to every game and i dont see this one being any different so once again a message sent straight to the Utes "The End Is Near"

Yet another win for the frongs no need for the long summery well save that for the big game.... But as usual the run game was there led by turner the pass game saw its least successful outting throwing 2 picks and 1 td... This was just a tune up game before the big one no more talk game on utah

Well tcu ended the year on a high note beating a very good usf team in the armed forces bowl by a score of 35 to 24 the brightest star on the field after late season starter rb turner was injured was redshirt sophomore jai cavness rushing for over 200 yds ib the final game cementing his starting spot for nxt year....

To go along with the bowl win tcu received 3 more 4 star recruits 2 olbs mike wheeler and juco kris perkins both who show a good nose for the ball..the other was rb will thompson a hometown kid who shows great speed when he hits the second level...

Well that does it for the season lets see if tcu can put together a team that can go for bcs gold during the preaseason recruiting

An offseason recruit finally commited to the horned-frogs 3 star Qb Carl Black a 6'3 190 lbs scrambler from allendale, SC who runs a 4.56 he should be a good addition and a solid qb in the future he'll likely be redshirted his frshman year barring an amazing offseason

The TCU horned frogs went got revenge from a last season late game melt down and beat the undefeated New Mexico Lobos...
The first quarter was basically even with the frogs first score coming by weigh of a 53yd field goal from evans, followed by a short yardage qb sneak from the Lobos qb yeager, the pass game got the frogs back in front when senior qb dalton connected with senior wr kerley for a 31yd td strike on the side lines
The second quarter was pretty much the same with the teams trading fgs on the first two drives then tcu getting another td pass from dalton to johnson 17 yds, followed by a fg by the lobos and a fg by tcu to end the half up 23-13
The third quarter was dominated by the frogs who scored 2 tds and held the lobos to no score pushing the score to a comfortable 37-13 lead.
But the 4th quarter bought a sense of deja vu to the horned frogs as they watch helplessly as the lobos ran off 21 unanswered points due to the frogs trying to just ice the game the last coming with 1:43 remaining in the game, but the junior sensation running back Jai Cavness would not let the frogs be denied this time, touting the ball for 4 1st downs on the final drive to put the lobos away...
This was yet another classic in the rivalry and i look foward to many more good game lobos better luck next year...

The better team won in this one - Lobos had no answer for your Running Game.
