TDL Rivalry Week WEEK 13 - "Rivalry Week" - Year One In what is sure to become an annual tradition here in TDL, we have an absolutely killer slate of games this week. Seems like every big game a fan could want is happening this week, and seasons can be made, or broken, based on what happens in the next few days. Let's look at the big match-ups: [IMGa=left]http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383.7.5/images/fbodNCAAFBOnlineDynastyPlugin/teamlogos/256px/team70.png[/IMGa][IMGa=left]http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383.7.5/images/fbodNCAAFBOnlineDynastyPlugin/teamlogos/256px/team51.png[/IMGa] Michigan and Ohio State hook up in what is simply the best game of any college football season. The 6-5 Wolverines might be down, and the 10-1 Buckeyes may be licking their wounds after a tough loss at Iowa last week, but expect these two storied programs to be seeking redemption at the cost of the other, and expect each team to leave everything on the field. They always do. Both teams are carrying more losses than they're accustomed to, which is both an incentive to win, and also an even bigger reason to put a loss on the other. Recruits watch this one closely as they try to determine who the power in the South is going to be for the next several years. There's always a lot at stake when these two squads meet. The 5-6 Bulldogs are in the midst of a disastrous season by UGA standards, and they need this win to break even, become bowl eligible, and earn back a little local respect. Tech, on the other hand, would like nothing more than to shake off the "little brother" label and become the dominant force in the region. Other Notable Rivalries [IMGa=left]http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383.7.5/images/fbodNCAAFBOnlineDynastyPlugin/teamlogos/45px/team68.png[/IMGa][IMGa=left]http://cdn.www.easports.com/static/383.7.5/images/fbodNCAAFBOnlineDynastyPlugin/teamlogos/45px/team102.png[/IMGa]The Irish host hated rival USC this week. Rated #6 and #22 respectively, the Irish and the Trojans will battle it our for the jeweled shillelagh, a trophy that currently resides in Los Angeles. Dayne Crist and the boys are looking to bring it back to South Bend, and they plan to do it in style. This heated and always intense rivalry is literally for all the marbles, as 'Bama needs to hold serve to stay in the hunt for an SEC title game appearance. If the Tide can win, then they likely control their own destiny, since their #4 ranking will likely become a top-2 ranking by season's end, if history serves.
