    TDL2 - Team Signup

OK - It looks like the interest in an overflow league is there, so let's fire it up. We're getting comfortable with the new sliders (or understandably uncomfortable) so the need for a tester league may not be around long. If we're going to form another league, we might as well kill multiple birds with one stone.

    TDL2 will be:

    1. The place for new guys
    2. The place for new settings to be tested
    3. The place for guys who need more stick time
    4. Just as competitive as league one
    5. Something that will not be allowed, in any way, to get in the way of league one

We have a couple of folks interested already. We're limiting teams to two stars and below. I will lead the pack by making things terribly difficult on myself, and running with the Commodores of Vanderbilt. I dig me some eggheads. I don't think I out-rate any team on my schedule this year. It's brutal.

I'm going to be asking guys on the waiting list to play here, and I'd like them to get spots if they want them, so choose quick, or get closed out.

Here's the list so far: 9/12

I'd love to have in ... and if that's cool, I'll roll with Baylor.

Sure. I'll dissolve the test league, which will bring everyone online to see what's up, and then I'll form a new TDL2. Same password, and I'll send invites to everyone who already said they wanted in.

Want to schedule a game this year? I'll even play in Buffalo. Those Bulls are God-awful! ;)

I was going to switch the Bears over to Pro, but I dig their playbook. It's a lot more versatile than other spread offenses. With a few more run formations worked in, I might be able to make it work.

Edit: And AG, that Dad's life video in the league description thread is off-the-freakin'-wall hilarious.

You're just now seeing that? It was the inspiration for this whole thing. I figured we were all singing that one in the shower by now.

Don't sleep on the Hoosiers in the Big Ten. They're a two-star, fairly young, with a pistol-light offense, and they might have some of the sweeter unis in the game.

    Just sayin'

Oh, and you hoops fans - Duke's out there. I could see a battle of the mega-smart kids in the future.

I would like Army or Navy if they fit. Navy is my first choice, army the second.

I think Navy is a three star. Army might only be a one, but for sure they're not over a two. I'll send you an invite.

This is going to be a blast ... well, until I'm trying to run on Texas, A&M, and the Sooners with a RB as fast as some offensive lineman. Go Bears!

You and whomever went with Army definitely made the ballsiest choices. Your cupboard's bare, brah'.

I have a lot of 3-star interest with Baylor, but I think the mid-level talent in this game is disappointing. I have a lot of trouble finding diamonds in the rough at the skill-positions. At least the Bears are young enough to give me a little time, but competing with the big boys of Texas won't be easy.

Almost went with UTEP for this reason. They're good enough this year to win their division, so with the talent in Texas, I'd probably be able to recruit as well, without the brutal schedule.

I never run with my QB, but that's going to have to change, obviously.

It's not too late to switch! Who wants to play with WKU for 10 years before they can put together a bowl berth? ;)

Wyoming has some decent talent, as does Temple, Troy, Memphis, and Marshall. SD's not bad, either, and I love the 'Teks unis/stadium.
