Nashville, TN -- This match-up featured two of the leagues best defenses as the Jacksonville Jaguars traveled to Tennessee to take on the surprising Tennessee Titans. The Titans were trying to stay right on the heels of the division leading Indianapolis Colts heading into their prime time game in week 11. The Jaguars, on the other hand, were trying to get this season moving in the right direction after a couple impressive wins recently. Neither ball club, nor the fans, would be disappointed in this one. The ball game started with the Titans possessing the ball first. However their offense must not have gotten the memo that the game officially started. After a quick three and out they were forced to punt. The Jaguars, conversely; wasted no time in their offensive attack. Led by MJD on the ground, the Jaguars would march right down the field and made Tennessee's highly ranked D look like swiss cheese. It was 7-0 Jaguars early. That lead, however; would not last very long. After a nice drive led by QB Jake Locker, it would be 2nd year man Kendall Wright who would eventually find the end zone tying this ball game up at 7 a piece. From there it would be a defensive showdown. These teams came into the game ranked 2 and 3 respectively in overall defense. And we clearly saw why in this one. Two forced fumbles by the Jaguars, two interceptions and three sacks by the Titans; we saw drives continuously stall out. It wouldn't be until late in the 4th quarter when we finally saw a score change. Jake Locker would give his team a 14-7 lead on a critical 3rd and goal play after the Jags D looked very formidable at the goal line. The Jags would get the ball with about a minute thirty to play and only 1 timeout, starting inside their 15 yard line. After a few short plays and the clock ticking Jacksonville was running out of time. That's when Matt Scott found a streaking Toney Clemons for a remarkable 60 yard reception which got them inside the Titans 5 yard line. (Clemons laid out for the ball at about the 6 and caught it at 2.5 yard line. Literally the best catch I've seen yet in this Madden, possibly in Madden history). From there MJD would punch it in and get his 2nd TD of the game. And remarkably with under 30 seconds to play the Jacksonville Jaguars tied this game up and sent us into overtime! Jacksonville would win the toss and choose to receive. Scott would hand-off to MJD on 1st down, but he would get stuffed behind the line for a two yard loss. The Titans would hold here and force the Jaguars to punt the ball. With little time remaining it would be now or never for the Titans. On another 3rd and long play, Jake Locker would finally connect with his tight end Delanie Walker 30 yards down field around the Jaguars 30 yard line. CJ2K, who had a costly fumble towards the end of regulation in FG territory which would have led to a game winning field goal, was given the ball to position the Titans for the win. This time, Johnson would hold onto the ball and Rob Bironas would be brought in for a 40 yard field goal attempt with only 4 seconds left in overtime. Bironas would drill the kick and the Titans would win this instant classic, 17-14! Next Up: The Tennessee Titans (7-2) will host the AFC South leading Indianapolis Colts (8-1) for an epic showdown. This game will mean a lot for both teams and will be pivotal in the AFC South chase. The Jaguars (2-7) will play host to the Arizona Cardinals (1-8). Both of those teams desperately need a victory, for team morale if nothing else. great game again CHUNKNESS ... see you in jack town!!
