The Tennessee Titans are one of the worst teams in the NFL (and in Madden). As the new owner, I plan to turn this franchise around and move the team the hell out of Tennessee. First, let us see what the team has to offer.

Quarterback: Second overall pick Marcus Mariota (78OVR) takes the reigns in the Titans new spread offense.

Wide Receiver: Kendall Wright (82OVR) and second round pick Dorial Green-Beckham (76OVR) will lead this unit for years to come.

Tight End: Delanie Walker (87OVR) plays better than his ratings indicate; above average blocker too.

Offensive line: LT Taylor Lewan (81OVR), legacy player C Fredrick Sullivant (84OVR) and RG Chance Warmack (84OVR) give this team a great foundation to build off of.

Defensive line: RE Jurell Casey (92OVR) is the only proven star on this entire team and is in the prime of his career.

Linebacker: Newcomer ROLB Brian Orakpo (87OVR) provides a much needed boost to this team but he is getting old.

Cornerback: Jason McCourty (86OVR) is the only bright spot in mediocre secondary.

Punter: Brett Kern (88OVR) is the 2nd highest rated player on the team, he looks to salvage field position for this mediocre team.

Season 1 looks absolutely brutal facing a mix of great teams and users. Game 1 is on the road against Tampa and HaW 15 superbowl champion CoachMedics. Other games throughout the season include the Bills (superbowl champion Keller), Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Raiders (superbowl loser Troy J.), Falcons and of course two games each versus division opponents: the Colts, Texans (superbowl champion RFF) and Jaguars (superbowl champion Wyrmbender).

Stay tuned for future team developments as the organization looks to reload the team through the draft.

Looks like Jordan doesn't plan on running the ball since he didn't even mention his running backs in his post. :p

I heard that. Something tells me the Jags and Titans will be competing for the playoffs in no time.

Did the Falcons go in HaW 15?

Also, I like to give Troy a hard time.

I still think you're going to win the division right out the gates. Mariota is a boss and QBs matter now.

Some BIG additions to the team this off season.

RT Jake Long (85OVR) joins out of free agency and is a day one starter

The trade heard round the world: CB Joe Haden (90OVR) joins the team. Titans send QB Zach Mettenberger a 2016 1st and 2017 2nd.

SS Mark Baron (77OVR) is acquired from the Rams. Titans send CB Patrick Cox (80OVR). Baron gives this team a big hitter and allows SS Da'Norris Searcy (83OVR) to move FS.

The Titans upgraded a mediocre secondary and now have one of the better units in the league. Jake Long is a huge boon to the offensive line. Suddenly this team looks to make a playoff push THIS YEAR!! HB and LG remain concerns moving forward however.

The Titans are staying busy despite their early bye in week 4.

HB CJ Spiller joins the team and takes over at running back. He is great fit for the spread scheme and gives the offense a big time threat on the ground and catching out of the backfield.

Starting linebacker Avery Williamson was traded away for Spiller. Leading to some juggling in the front 7. Derrick Morgan slides to OLB and Jurell Casey to DE making free agent acquisition Jesse Williams the starter at DT.

The Titans look to keep their momentum after a 3-0 start.

    Season 1 week 5 update

More moves in Tennessee. TE Joseph Fauria is acquired from the Cardinals. He looks to compete for playing time right away with above average receiving skills and a big frame at 6'7" 267lbs.

Titans send DT Al Woods and a 2017 4th

SEASON 1 REGULAR SEASON REVIEW: Titans go 12-4 and take the division and the #3 seed

By all metrics, this was a great season for the team on and off the field.

As seen in previous posts, a great deal of talent was added to the team via free agency and trades. Player development was also very good. The Titans do not have any major holes entering the playoffs.

Speaking of playoffs, the team edged out the Jaguars to take the division and the number three seed in playoffs. Looking back, the Titans fell this season to the Falcons, Raiders, Jaguars and Colts. A 12-4 finish is as good as you can ask considering the stiff competition this season.

    The Offense
The stats put up by the team are impressive. The team ranked top 10 in nearly every category averaging over 30 points and 400 yards a game on offense.

    upload_2015-11-6_13-16-18.png

Individually, newcomer HB CJ Spiller lit it up on the ground in his 13 games with the team.

Young WRs DGB and Kendall Wright both had over a thousand yards and combined for 25 TDs. TE Joseph Fauria was third in receiving with 700 yards and 6 TDs.

And finally, the star, the leader, the goat: Marcus Mariota. He took the league by storm putting up 4800 all purpose yards and 47 total TDs as a rookie.

This unit looks to improve as they did turn the ball over early and often.

    The Defense
The defense played well. They are not quite great but they are heading in the right direction. The secondary was stout allowing about 210 yards a game. The pass rush disrupted quarterbacks all season too.

The run defense was okay. They frequently gave up long rushes and ranked middle of the pack.

    upload_2015-11-6_19-32-17.png

Newcomer MLB Wesley Woodyard made a name for himself in Tennessee this season. He was edged out by Von Miller for AFC LB of the year.

Jurell Casey, Brian Orakpo, Derrick Morgan and Zach Brown harrassed quarterbacks all year combining for 27 sacks.

CBs Joe Haden and Jason McCourty had a respectable year each snagging 6 interceptions. Joe Haden was not tested too much and often denied catches when he was.

    SEASON 1 OFFSEASON REVIEW

    Free Agency

In a hot free agency market the Titans added a couple impact players. While these are not the sexiest of the available players they are important for the team.

CB Tim Jennings. The team desperately needed a nickel corner and Jennings fills that void nicely. At 32 years old he is likely a one and done player. He will bank $14mil on a one year contract. ouch.
    upload_2015-11-23_14-8-30.png

WR Marlon Brown. He slides in as the number three wide receiver. At only 25 years old, 6'5" and possessing very solid physicals, he looks to be a mainstay for one of the better (and bigger) receiving cores in the league. He agreed to a four year $14.6mil contract.
    upload_2015-11-23_14-12-34.png

The Titans also added lots of depth around the team. Of note, DE Trent Cole will backup at DE and OLB Geno Hayes will do the same at linebacker.

    The Draft

The Titans traded their first for Joe Haden leaving them with 2.30 and 3.30. The rest of the picks were traded to the Jets to move into the early 4th.

The only 'hit' was at 3.30 where SS Malcolm Hubbard was selected. He comes in at 79OVR with superstar development and a solid base of attributes. News of the CFM patch that increases the physical ratings of safeties in future drafts does put a damper on this selection however.

Didn't you also draft a CB with like 93 kick return?
