Here's the tentative off-season schedule. During the entire off-season, your team cannot go below 48 players at any given time. Please be aware of all your transactions. If you trade beyond your limitations, it's your *@$% up and we cannot fix it. So make sure you are doing the homework for you AND your negotiator. The schedule will move up if the remaining weeks advance more quickly than the scheduled deadlines. All times provided are subject to change...

    Thursday 10/25/12
    • Week 17 deadline (midnight EST)
    Sunday 10/28/12
    • Wildcard Round deadline (midnight EST)
    Wednesday 10/31/12 (Halloween)
    • Divisional Round deadline (midnight EST)
    Friday 11/2/12
    • Conference Championships deadline (midnight EST)
    Monday 11/5/12
    • Superbowl deadline (midnight EST)
    Tuesday 11/6/12
    • Re-signings deadline midnight EST. Owners will have 24 hours to negotiate roster re-signings including ONE franchise tag - all to be completed by YOU in the online CCM; no limits other than your cap space.
    • Trading re-opens.
    • Scouting continues.
    Wednesday 11/7/12
    • Free agency commences.
    Thursday 11/8/12
    • Free agency negotiations continue. This is your chance to see the other teams involved and re-negotiate your bid.
    • Scouting continues.
    Friday 11/9/12
    • Free agency deadline midnight EST.
    • Scouting continues.
    Saturday 11/10/12
    • Scouting deadline midnight EST.
    Sunday 11/11/12
    • Trading closes at noon EST for all player for pick, or player for player transactions.
    • Draft commences at 8pm EST, and will run through the night until the draft is complete.
    • Rookie signings stage immediately follows the draft (the online CCM automatically signs your rookies).
    Monday 11/12/12
    • Pre-Season Year 2 Begins.
    • Trading re-opens.
    • Free agency re-opens (via waiver order; EA doesn't have regular season free agent bidding).

I just noticed that I have free-agency for a 72 hour period. We generally hold FA for 48 hrs, so that would move the free agency deadline to Thursday 11/8, the scouting deadline to Friday 11/9, and the trading deadline + draft to Saturday, 11/10.

I am going on a cruise from 11/10 to 11/18 - can I forward someone my draft board or something like that?

    Yes.

EDIT: Also, speaking from experience I highly doubt the playoffs will last 11 days (as accounted for by Doug). I'm thinking closer to 5. It's possible, but not likely.

You'll either need to give your PSN user ID and password to someone who will be around on draft day so that they can join the league and select for you, or you'll need to put your team on auto.

    Ah.

Is there an ability to set up a draft board?

Alright. I can have one of my friends draft for me if there isn't a draft board feature.

Are we no longer simming through season 2?

So are we planning on doing two drafts in one night or something?

No way, man. That wouldn't work.

After the second season is over, there will be a completely new off-season with new free agents and new prospects.

If we ran back to back drafts, there'd be not even close to enough time to scout prospects.

Sorry to tell you this, but the offseason is going to be about 2 weeks long.

Agreed, but could someone clarify how it is going to work?
