    Terple Option Part Deux

    Maryland 38
    South carolina 21

    Passing:
    J. Robinson 10/13 112, INT

    Rushing:
    L. Watson 18 carries 83 yards 2 TD
    J. Robinson 14 carries 62 yards 1 TD
    C. Lewis 13 carries 151 yards 1 TD
    D. Scott 13 carries 63 yards 1 TD

The Terple Option was in full effect. A steady diet of Triple option, speed option, quick option, FB load option, FB/QB option, FB dive, and HB toss were more than the defense could handle. Terps split time at qb QB between veteran starter Robinson and freshman phenom Lewis. Lewis showed his explosiveness Following the fullback on the triple option for a 51 yard touchdown on his first collegiate snap.

    Maryland:

    Robinson: 14/20 228, TD, INT, 9 carries, 49 yards, 2 TD
    Lewis: 5/8 99 yards, 29 carries 133 yards, 3 TD
Watson: 13 carries 57 yards, TD
Scott: 10 carries 59 yards, TD

Maryland D had trouble preventing the big plays from the sooners, but their offense more than made up for a few big defensive misqueues. The Terple option goes for 300+ on the ground and in the air

    Terple option overpowers the wolfpack.

    Lewis: 22 carries 148 yards 2 TD

Maryland jumped out to a big lead in the first half. In the second half, Lewis came in and got some mop up yards.

Another stellar performance, that triple option attack seems deadly. Glad I don't have Maryland on my schedule :D

Robinson: 9-12 144 yards TD, 6 carries 2 yards TD
    Lewis: 2-4 34 yards, 13 carries 119 yards 2 TD
    Watson: 22 carries 146 yards, 2TD
    Scott: 9 carries 60 yards
Perez(FS): 15 tackles, 4 TFL, INT, FF, TD

Maryland runs over their rivals. Perez consistantly delievered bone crushing tackles from the FS position. And the ground game ate virgina alive. Capped off with a 69 yard Lewis TD run.

(sorry for the music repeat forgot to add audio and did another swap with stock youtube songs)

    Lewis: 8-11 3 TD INT, 26 carries 102 yards 2 TD
    Scott: 9 carries 97 TD
Watson: 7 carries 66 yards TD
    Portzel: 6 carries 53 TD

In a shocking move, the terps bench their heisman hopeful qb for a freshman. Offense still proves extremely productive. Who knows what the coach will do next week.

Maryland defense gives up 50 and the offense struggles for the first time all season. Starters played the entire game as it came down to the wire. Lewis as the starting QB may be hurting the team. Lewis threw 3 picks while completing only 10- 18 passes. Lewis was sacked 4 times including a safty. Lewis was consistantly tackled before he could make a pitch on the option. Its suprising the terps put up so many points. I guess they have their defense and special teams to than for exellent field position.

    Lewis: 10/18 173 2 TD 3 INT, 36 carries 114 yards 4 TD
    Scott: 12 - 126 TD
    Watson: 9 -54

    Week 11

    Maryland 35
    Stanford 14

    Lewis: 11/13 196 yards 2 TD, 22 carries 63 yards 2 TD
    Watson: 9 carries 33 yards
Scott: 8 carries 55 yards TD
    Smith: 3 Rec 96 yards

Dispite frequently getting stopped on offense the Terps win the game by playing mistake free football.
