Houston would escape with yet another close last minute win on the season with a victory over division rival Tennessee Titans 20-17. Both teams came into the game with identical 7-4 records and the top 2 teams in the AFC wild card hunt. Both teams would score early 1st quarter TDs but mostly sputter the rest of the first half. Tennessee would score late in the second quarter to put them up 14-7. With less than 2 minutes to go before the half, Matt Schaub would then cough up the ball in his own territory, giving the Titans a shot to add some points before the half, but their field goal attempt would hit the crossbar. With 40 seconds left, Schaub would hit a couple strikes to give Jordan Leonesio into his makeable range, where he would connect on a 52 yarder closing the gap at the half with the Titans still up 14-10. An early 3rd quarter interception would set the Texans up in great territory to get the go-ahead TD in the 3rd quarter on an Arian Foster short TD run, putting them up 17-14. Neither team would score again until late in the 4th quarter as the Titans would tie the game at 17 with a field goal. Houston would be able to answer back, driving all the way down to the 1 yard line, where Owen Daniels was stopped on a 3rd down pass play. On 4th and goal at the 1, Leonesio would hit the less-than-PAT yard field goal to put the Texans on top 20-17 with 1 minute left. Tennesse would have a nother chance but a Clayton Wharton pick would seal the game for the home team. Another good game hoodiii, good luck the rest of the way Houston now currently sits at the #5 position with an 8-4 record. Next week, they will face another wild card contender New York Jets in their 3rd game of a 4 game home stretch.
