In a game where 10 total TDs were scored by both teams, the Texans would get by division foe Jaguars at home by scoring the final TD with less than a minute to go on a short Matt Schaub to TE Owen Daniels strike on 4th down and goal from the 4. The Texans would score first, putting up the only non-TD points on a FG off of the opening drive. Both teams would then swap leads the rest of the day until the final minute. Schaub would go 19 of 27 for 288 yards, 2 TDs and no picks, while Blaine Gabbert would be just as efficient throwing for 197 yards and 2 TDs, while going 12 for 19 on the day. Neithet team would get a sack or a turnover in the game. Maurice Jones-Drew would destroy the Texans on the ground, taking 20 carries for 225 yards and 3 TDs.
