    North Carolina @ Texas A&M

    NC 36 TAMU 39

Texas A&M barely beats UNC 39-36. UNC dominated the entire game up until the last 4 minutes. With a little less of 6 minutes left in the game UNC was beating Texas A&M 36-17. However, Texas A&M rallied in the last 4 minutes and scored 22 points in those last 4 minutes.
    Fourth Quarter:
    5:52 FG UNC(36-17)
    3:33 TD TAMU(36-24)
    2:12 TD TAMU(36-31)
    0:30 TD TAMU(36-39)
I must admit TAMU got extremely lucky with recovered fumble with 1:26 remaining and no timeouts. UNC by fay played the better game but TAMU rallied(with a little bit of luck) and escaped with a thrilling game. Good game wildes12.

    Key stats UNC
QB Tj Yates: 170.9 rating, 14-20, 1 TD 1 Int
RB Shaun Draughn: 32 attempts for 109 yards
FS Melvin Williams: 5 Tackles, 1 sack, 1 Int

    Key Stats TAMU
QB Jerrod Johnson: 16-33, 304 yards, 3 TDs 2 ints, 1 rushing TD
WR Jeff Fuller: 5 rec, 75 yards, 1 td, 5 drops!
SS Chevar Bryson: 5 tak, 1 Int, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 TD

    #1 Florida (0-0) @ Texas A&M (1-0)

    Florida: 10 TAMU: 34

In probably the biggest upset of the year, Texas A&M defeats #1 ranked Florida 34-10. I wish coach renegade-ice a good remainder of the season. The Aggies defense showed up and stalled the fearful gator offense. Texas A&M started the game with a 74yard touchdown on the first drive and never trailed from then on. The Gator front seven pressured Aggie QB Jerrod Johnson all day but Aggie RB Cyrus Gray ran the ball 31 times for 171 yards and QB Johnson was still able to complete 18 passes for 309 yards. On the other side, Gator QB Tim Tebow struggled with 3 ints and 4 sacks. The strong start by the Aggies forced the Gators to pass all day, but the Aggie defense did not permit the gator passing attack have its way. The Aggies did lose defensive impact player DE Matt Featherston for 5 weeks due to a broken jaw.

    Key Stats UF
    QB Tim Teebow: 17-33, 216yards, 1 TD 3 Int
RE Jermaine Cunningham: 7 tak, 4 tfl, 3 sacks
LE Carlos Dunlop: 7 Tak, 3 tfl, 2 sacks

    Key Stats TAMU
QB Jerrod Johnson 18-25, 309 yards, 2 TDs
RB Cyrus Gray 31 att, 171 yards

    Texas A&M 21- Arkansas 17

Thrilling game. The second half saw four lead changes in what was heavily defensive game. TAMU however was able to escape with a victory over their old rival with touchdown in the last minutes. Cyrus Gray pounded the ball into the endzone with 1:59 remaining to take the lead and the victory. The play of the game however was a 32 yard scramble by QB Jerrod Johnson earlier on the drive on a third and 24. Jerrod Johnson had to be on his feet all day as Arkansas was able to sack him 9 times. The sack total would have been higher had JJ not been able to shake some sacks and scramble for a salvaged gain. Clearly, the continual issue with the lack of protection for JJ will force TAMU to make some major offensive scheme changes.

    Player of the game:
TAMU RB Cyrus Gray: 29 at, 122yrds, 1 td

    Notable stats:
    TAMU QB Jerrod Johnson: 13-25, 183yrds, 1 td 1 int, 118.6 rating
    Ark QB Ryan Mallett: 16-30, 218yrds, 2 td 1 int, 129.7 rating

    Recruiting:
Two players have committed to TAMU so far. 4 star free safety Nathan Matthews and 4 star tackle Jared Hampton. TAMU is very excited to know these two exciting players will be wearing an Aggie uniform next season.

    Oklahoma state 44 - Texas A&M 31

Huge defeat for the Aggies. After starting the game 14-0, off of two turnovers returned for TDs, the Aggies struggled to get on the board again. Oklahoma State had too many weapons on offense and a solid defense. Jerrod Johnson struggled at QB by going 11-35 for 2 ints. However, he did gain 64 yards on the ground. The game was exciting for the fans as it came to the 4th quarter with both teams still in it.

    Player of the game:
Oklahoma state QB Alex Cate: 28-38, 375 yards, 3 tds

    TAMU-31 KSU-34

Texas A&M is slipping. KSU escaped with a field goal to win it with 22 seconds left. Disappointing for the Aggies as they were cruising until the last quarter. Aggie qb Jerrod Johnson did step up though and completed 22 passes for 366 yards and 2 tds. The defense could not stop the wildcats.

    Player of the game
KSU qb Daniel Thomas: 30-39, 389 yards, 2 tds

thank you for the support. yeah its disappointing but exciting at the same time. I like that any team in the big 12(minus iowa st...jk) is a formidable foe saturdays. The good thing is that the aggie team is still young and will improve . Championship hopes are all but gone however we are not done yet. We can definitly still do some damage this season.

    TAMU-45 Texas Tech-52

This game was a an offensive shoot out. The Aggies trailed Texas Tech all day. Disappointing loss. Turnovers bit us in the rear. Jerrod Johnson threw 7 ints and RB Cyrus Gray(in probably his last game as a starter) fumbled the ball in the opponents 5 yard line with a little over a minute left in the game. Coach fpuent in an interview after the game, "I am f***ing disappointed in this team. Nobody showed up to play. There will be changes to come." The only highlight was that QB Johnson did pass for 496 yards and ran for another 60. The aggie defensive backs were beat all day by TTU wrs. This team finds itself in a huge hole after starting off so strongly. It is in huge risk of not making a bowl game. TAMU still needs to travel to colorado, oklahoma, and texas.

    player of the game:
TTU QB Taylor Potts: 440 yards, 6 tds

Sounds like coach needs to learn the term "Running". ;)

Lol. TAMU has struggled in establishing a running game. With all due respect to Aggie RB Cyrus Gray, he is not the dominant back that is needed to survive in the big 12. It doesnt help that the oline has been struggling all season. TAMU is down to 2 healthy RBs with the injury of K. Smith 2 weeks ago(he is out for the rest of the regular season). TAMU coaching staff is hesitant to unredshirt the two other freshman because they are seen as the future. We will have to make do with what we have.

    TAMU 41 Iowa State 38

The Aggies played a smooth game till the last quarter. ISU scored 3 tds in the last few minutes to even it up but the aggies marched down the field scored a field goal as time expired. Jerrod Johnson had a smooth game except for the fumble and int in the last quarter. Cyrus Gray really stepped up and had a solid game. The pass defense is still struggling but the pass rush stepped up and helped tame ISU.

    Player of the game:
TAMU RB Cyrus Gray: 144 yards, 2 rush TDs, 1 receiving TD

    TAMU-9 OU-56

Oklahoma cruised to an easy victory in this one. TAMU could not stop the Sooners at all. Oklahoma threw the ball with ease with the few incompletions being drops.

The biggest TAMU news, however, was that TAMU has lost its top 3 halfbacks for the rest of the season. TAMU had to unredshirt a freshman halfback in the 2nd quarter. The unredshirted halfback is the only active halfback TAMU will have for the rest of the season. A backup fullback will have to back freshman halfback ryan swope.

    Petrosun Independence Bowl

TAMU wins! TAMU defeated their rival Arkansas 42-41 to win the Petrosun Independence Bowl.

TAMU came into the bowl game with a completely new style of offense. In the off week, TAMU trained and switched to the option offense. It was a huge success. It allowed the run to finally be a factor in the Aggie offense.

Arkansas had a 35-14 point lead by the late third quarter, but the Aggies responded. With a combination of option run, inside run, over the middle passes the Aggies were able to take the victory. There were two key moments in the game: Aggie CB Justin Mcqueen returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in the third quarter(he had a total of 258 return yards in the game).

    Players of the game:
Aggie WR Jeff Fuller: 7 receptions, 190 yards, 2 tds
Aggie CB Justin McQueen: 6 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass deflection, 258 kick return yards, 2 kick return tds.

    TAMU-38 Arkansas-34

The Aggies win a big one on the road against archenemy Arkansas. It was a back and fourth game between these two teams. The Aggies used the option run offense for the second time and a row and was a huge success. expect to see the option run offense all season as long as Jerrod Johnson stays healthy. The x-factor that won the game for the Aggies was special teams. The Aggies returned 3 kickoffs for touchdowns. The Aggies have returned 5 kickoffs for touchdowns the last 2 games.

    Players of the Game:
Aggie HB Ryan Swope: 3 kickreturns. 202 yards, 2 touchdowns
Aggie CB Justin McQueen: 4 kickreturns, 175 yards, 1 touchdown, 6 tackles(2 TFLs), 2 passes defended
Aggie HB Christine Michael: 19 attempts, 127 yards, 1 touchdown

    Week 4: TAMU 64 FIU 48

Huge offensive shootout. However, the Aggies had the lead and never gave it up after they scored their 1st touchdown to make it 7-3. The option offense opened up rush attack for the Aggies.

    Players of the game:
Aggie HB Christine Michael: 28 attempts for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Aggie CB Justin McQueen: 3 tackles, 1 int, 1 defensive td, 201 return yards(40.2 average)
Aggie QB Jerrod Johnson, 10 of 12 for 194 yards, 2 pass tds, 10 rushes for 42 yards and 2 rushing tds

    Week 5: TAMU 49 - Texas Tech 21

The Aggies seem to have finally found that offensive attack they lacked for most of the last season. The option offense completely disabled the Red Raiders defense. Both Aggie QB Jerrod Johnson and Aggie HB Christine Michael ran for over a 100 yards each. With threat underneath, the Red Raiders had to bring more defenders into the box which opened up the passing attack for the Aggies. Defensively, the Aggies struggled in the first half by allowing 3 tds and about 250 passing yards. However, the Aggie defense showed up in the second half and limited the Red Raiders to less than 100 offensive yards, no touchdowns, and forced 7 sacks.

    Players of the game:
TAMU QB Jerrod Johnson: 13-18 for 258 yards and 2 passing tds. 10 rushes for 105 yards and 3 rushing tds.
TAMU HB Christine Michael: 30 rushes for 101 yards and 2 rushing tds. 5 receptions for 98 yards and 1 receiving td.
TAMU DT Lucas Patterson: 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 int.

    Week 6: TAMU 52 - KU 14

The Aggies played at Kansas this week. The Aggies had no problem winning this game. The Aggies started the game with 38-7 run in the first half. The defense got a lot of pressure and didnt let the Jayhawks do anything all day. The Aggie defense got 5 sacks, 3 ints, and 1 td. On the offensive side the Aggies rolled up and down the field all day. Starting Aggie HB Christine Michael was injured in the 1st qtr and wont return for a week.

    Players of the game:
Aggie QB Jerrod Johnson: 13-18 for 219 yards and 3 passing tds, 12 rushes for 68 yards and 2 tds.
Aggie WR Brandal Jackson: 4 receptions for 103 yards and 2 tds.
Aggie CB Steven Terrell: 7 tackles, 1 int, 1 td.

    Week 7: TAMU 36 - Missouri 14

The score does not do justice to the intensity of the game. Coach hoodlum brought a very capable team into college station that kept me anxious all the way into the 4th qtr. Miz got an early 14 lead. The Aggies committed a handful of errors and turnovers in the first qtr that made it seem like the Aggies were going to have a long day. However, the Aggies were able to regroup and reduce the Miz lead to 14-13 going into halftime. It was in the second half when the Aggies woke up. The Aggie defense forced 5 total interceptions and stopped the Miz offense dry in the second half. Best of luck to coach Hoodlum the rest of the season. I think Missouri is a team to watch and i am certain it will pull some upsets.

    Players of the game:
Aggie MLB G. Williams: 8 tackles (2 tfl), 2 int
Aggie QB Jerrod Johnson: 14 of 20 for 271 yards, 1 pass td, 1 rush td

    Week 8: TAMU 24 - #5 Oklahoma State 20

This game was extremely sloppy. However, TAMU was able to escape with an upset victory at okla st. Starting QB Jerrod Johnson, starting HB Christine Michael, and starting safety Trent Hunter were injured early and missed most of the game. That didnt stop TAMU's offense. Great game. No noteworthy stats.

    Player of the game:
Aggie OLB Von Miller: 10 tackles, 2 sacks
