    Texas Tech trounced again

The Red Raiders began the game with a couple of first downs, but any hopes of a close game faded when Texas corner Chester Harvey, picked off Tech QB Steven Sheffield and took it back 84 yards for an early score. Texas Tech then fumbled on the first play of their next drive, and were quickly down 14-0, after a short Garrett Gilbert TD pass.

Tech's only TD came on a 1 yard run by FB Ryan Fitzpatrick, after a muffed punt by the Longhorns. The story of the rest of the game was a steady stream of turnovers by the Red Raiders 4 pics and 3 fumbles(some after promising drives), and the Texas running game chewing up the clock, and making first downs.

Steven Sheffield's future as a starter seems unclear after another poor performance. Backup Seth Doege has seen some playing time already this year due to Sheffield frail nature. Sheffield is often knocked out multiple times a game, this one was no exception, as he went to the sideline twice for minor injuries.

Congrats on a good game, cnic.
