This one was an exciting match for the TFL Cup in the UK. Borussia came out a head quick with a scramble in the box after a corner kick that went right to Arango which he send it to the top right for the first goal of the game. Borussia wasn't done there, with a nice through ball, Raffael found Kruse running down the middle of the field and found him self with breakaway and he place it in the corner. Villa had a few chance but couldn't get anything going, they turn the ball over a few times at midfield which Borussia took avenge in netting there 3rd goal, Raffael took the shot just out side the box, Villa's keeper made a finger tip save to the posts which Kruse jump on it quick to put it in the empty net. Borussia in the 2nd half try to keep possession but Villa had nothing to do with that which they control most of the 2nd half with some nice movement off the ball. Villa got there first goal off a set play from the corner. With Villa pushing forward and sending balls in the box, Borussia was clearing them but on of there clears went right to El Ahmadi which he send a rocket just out the box which the keeper had no chance on. Borussia had there work cut out for them but with big saves by the keeper they manege to come out on top. With 2 games play Borussia came out with 4 points to start for the TFL Cup. Borussia M'Gladbech (1) - (1) Aston Villa

    Aston Villa

    Goal: Benteke (early on)

    Borussia M'Gladbech

    Goal: Stranzl

I am missing a lot of stats here because right after the match was over both our Xbox's froze before we could see statistics. Ill try to recap the best I can from my horrible memory. Early on in the match Benteke scored off a corner for Aston Villa to take the early lead. Gladbech came back and eventually Stranzl scored off a corner. For the rest of this match Aston was absolutely fighting for their lives just to hold on to this draw. Pressure and attacking by Gladbech was relentless. Gladbech without a doubt controlled possession and had many opportunities that were barely saved. Overall it was a good match but our second match that Ricky Boots already reported was even better. Great match Ricky Boots

    :yellowcard: Pinzi

Game 1 was full of sloppy play as both sides turned it over a lot in the first half. Lille was able to make some adjustments at the break. The first goal was a brilliant header from a corner from Simon Kjaer to take a 1-0 lead. Then 14 minutes later Nolan Roux iced the game with a goal of his own.

    Game 2

    Udinese 0-1 LOSC Lille

    11 Shots

    55% Possession

    :goal: Kalou(5')

Lille came out on the road and struck quickly with Soloman Kalou scoring a goal 5 minutes in but that was the only score of the game. Udinese had multiple chances but Enyeama made some great saves to secure the win.

Great Games Lou look forward to playing you in the Championship Division

    Match 1
    Sporting 0 - 2 Lokomotiv

    MotM: Yanbaev 9.2
    Goals: Boussoufa > Corluka, Diarra

    Clean Sheet: Guilherme

This game was ugly from a neutral perspective. It was rainy (like almost every online game), and both teams were having trouble connecting on passes. The second half showed that each team had settled a little more. A hopeful Corluka pass found Boussoufa, and Rui Patricio started to charge to bait the Moroccan midfielder into an early shot. Boussoufa obliged the Sporting keeper, chipping the ball in from about 30 yards. Lass Diarra also found himself on the end of an extremely fortunate bounce. N'Doye shot the ball, beat the keeper, but the post denied him. As the ball was rolling off the post, Diarra bundled to the ground and the ball went in off of him. 0-0 probably would've been a fair result, but the Russians are happy to escape Portugal with 3 points.

    Match 2
    Lokomotiv 3 - 2 Sporting

    MotM: Labyad 9.3
    Goals: Labyad>Capel, Capel>Carrillo -- Caicedo>Maicon, Maicon>Diarra, Zapater
    YC: Zapater

This was a completely different game. Both teams were very comfortable with the ball in this match. Back and forth the entire way until Maicon snuck a shot past Patricio's near post in the 80' to secure maximum points for Lokomotiv's TFL Cup campaign.

Great games, KoG CHEESEDIP! Good luck in the cup!

    Match 1
    Villarreal [2] v Celtic [1]

Strong showing from the homeside which found themselves frustrated time and again by the celtic defense. As the game went on, Villarreal were clearly the superior side, controlling the pace of the game with 62% possession through the first half but the only stat that matters is the score and into the half it went, 0-0. As the second half went on Villarreal continued to press but as Celtic's defense kept holding the yellow submarine grew more frustrated, as did the fans. And to make matters worse, a mistake in the back gave Celtic the lead 75mins into the game. Lucky for villarreal, the super sub, Pereira came up big in the 77th min to draw things level. With the game getting into the later stages it was a counter attack that gave villarreal the win with Uche sliding the ball across goal to the mexican, Aquino for the winner 87 minutes in. In the end, it was a just result as villarreal were always the the more dangerous side going forward.

    Match 2
    Villarreal [2] @ Celtic [0]

Much less frustrating game for the yellow submarine. Bruno left off the squad due to personal reasons, and it did not effect the team in the slightest. Pereira, who got the nod over Uche in the starting 11, got Villarreal on the board early in the 11th minute and the yellow subs never looked back. It was a professional performance by the away side in which they played as if they were at home, in estadio el madrigal. In the second half the other mexican, Gio Dos Santos, added the second goal and really put the game to bed. Villarreal starting the cup strong, good games.
