As long as Premier and League 1 stays the way it is I'm in for an all manual thing going on on the side.

I don't really like MLS or Mexican or any other team on this side of the world, so I would hope it'd be 3 star teams from Europe.

Lets do a World Cup, any team.

I think all-manual levels the playing field enough to choose any team.

I'm very, very down and shall help out in whatever capacity I can.

Only issue with World Cup is are we doing group stages? If so, halfway through, half the people who wanted to play are now out. With a league format, at least you keep playing until the end. National sides in a league format is possible, though.

I'm still firmly on the 3*-3.5* wagon. The game moves slower and more realistic due to speed ratings not being insanely high.

Yeah I'd rather do something with lower teams.

My preference would be limit of 3*

That allows all the MLS, Mexico, English Championship, and whatever Bosnian league team that @hedache is looking to use.

I would like to use the following settings:

    10min
    Slow
    All Manual

I'm at work and can not check, so I'm drawing a blank, but in terms of half length can you go up in small increments? So, instead of ten minute halves, 12-13? Or does it jump straight up to 15? I'd be alright with 10, though.

And 3* works well. 3.5* gets pretty close to 4*.

I'm against it being European based, as that is what we already have in the PL and L1. So it'll be nice for this to not only provide game play variety, but also team variety and get outside continental Europe. Unless it's national sides, as that is a different story.

It believe it goes up in 1 minute increments.

I have no problem going for 3* max teams but I'd like to look around for different teams outside of Europe as well. I probably will roll with a MLS team but, you never know until you look. I may start playing manual games with different teams to get a feel for the 3* freedom of manual play.

I like the 3* cap. I'm all about European teams. Even make it strictly just English Championship teams if you really want to. Kreb how is that not variety? You're talking like the whole PL and L1 is using 3* teams. As far as I remember everyone is at least 4* other than my 3* team. Ofcourse in this league I'll have to pick a 1* team to make things even and have bragging rights like you suggested :p

If we do English only, I call out my CM team Nott Forest. I don't remember if they were 3* but I'm pretty sure they aren't more than 3*.

Please please no Mexican league and all.

Not variety in the sense that more than Europe could be represented. Is it variety, yes. But there is opportunity for more.

I was wrong. It jumps from 10 to 15 to 20 minute halves.

It takes awhile to get used to. I've always played Semi like I'm on manual, so that has helped me. By that, I mean I always was directing passes right where I wanted them, but the problem is that with semi I didn't have the control I was acting like I had. If that makes any sense. It honestly just takes practice, but eventually you fall in love being able to just set a ball into space instead of right at someone without using a through ball.

Crossing is really tough and the first time you try and it sails into the stands, it hits you. Best thing to do is slow down and realize that while your power gauge is displayed, you still can direct it. Same with shots.

We can play tonight. I'll bring Germany. You bring Spain or Argentina. :)

Yes, it is a different beast.

But, most people here are not manual masters. I just started two days ago. I think that in time, this is how the game was meant to be played. My only concern is that it may disolve the "quality" difference between players. Semi seems to reflect the true feel of top level players.

    I don't agree with this.

If any thing gap in quality would widen. The better players will continue to be just that on manual because their abilities likely didn't rely too heavily on the CPU placing perfectly placed headers, through balls, and shots in the first place. And even if it did, they would likely adjust (ex: Darlon). Playing on manual and then going back to semi/assisted, I saw just how much the computer helps on everything (especially shots for me).

Precisely. I think manual makes the ratings mean more. You barely notice the difference between a Xavi pass and a Joey Barton pass on semi. On manual, I think there is.

I think until all of us who ultimately decide to play on manual get better experienced with it, there will be low scoring games and some 0-0's but I'll consider those growing pains to something much greater.

I'm in and i vote for 3* Cap, but any league open. Don't wanna limit it to just European or North American.
