    Hey fellas,

There seems to be some interest getting more events rolling as we work through the EURO and continue on in the MLS. We have approximately 3 months until FIFA13. I have learned my lessons about running the TFL Season 4. With NCAA and Madden dropping soon, it seems to cut into the TFL interest for that season. So, while we won't be running the TFL again until FIFA13, I have an idea for a league and wanted to see if there was interest.

    TFL Reserve League

For a point of reference or inspiration, CLICK HERE.

The idea here is to use our TFL teams or a team that you maybe be interested in using next year and play with their youth squad. What would it mean to be eligible for the reserve league?

    Age: U-25
    Rating: U-80
Status: May not be in the top 10 outfield players on your roster, nor the top GK on team. Meaning, no starters.

    * In the event that you are short at a position or would have another unique issue, PM me for approval of a player that does not meet the above parameters. I would expect that if you are short at LB, that you find a LM to drop back, etc.

This would obviously use custom rosters. No injuries. I would envision a simple home and home season depending on how many folks sign up.

So basically, in the spirit of the European offseason/preseason we will be taking a good look at the youth players on our teams and get some play time to the next gen stars of Europe.

So, with that idea out there, are you IN?

Probably need like 8 or more to make this remotely interesting.

I'll probably be busy with my NCAA leagues until Fifa 13 at least- thanks for the invite though.

What is the deadline for this?

I start college next week so I don't know how much time I will have since I work full time but I should have an idea sometime next week.

It would be after the EURO and that should run at least another week.

In that case count me in.

I get the feeling this will be somewhat of a MLS2.0 league judging by some of the requirements.

I think this should be something like, just don't use anyone you would use as your starting 11. Basically make your ideal starting 11 and then eliminate those 11 and save the next starting line up for this custom league and play with that. It's not like FIFA has the whole youth system for teams in there. The whole U25, U80 and such will make it hard to deal with. Is there even enough teams that could qualify without modifications for those rules? If we keep it simple like just make sure you're playing reserves and no one from your ideal starting 11 (this is for fun so just be honest with your starting 11), then I'd like to be in.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but I'm in. Keep in mind I go to spain from august 1-11 and move back in to college the 14th, start soccer the 16th and school a week later. I'm taking 19 hrs, plus soccer and fraternity stuff so I'll be very very busy.

Well I was hoping to play with a lower team so the reserve idea works if I keep United, but if I was interested in another team for next season I was hoping to be able to use their starters.

Well either way I'll be pleased and learn to enjoy any team I'm playing with. United reserves could be fun.

Sure why not, count me in. What about just using one lower league? England's 3rd tier or something, I hear Gillingham is deadly! I just don't know how many teams actually have enough U25 players on the current roster that would make this work.

in, and i agree with selvy...i think it would just be easier to use lower level squads rather than try to customize teams. but either way, i'm in.
