    Is this really a scrape? I'm not a football head, that looks like just blowing up a play entirely. I thought scraping was coming off the edge of a front, holding the edge, scraping off and making the tackle. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I played LB in HS and some in college.

    A scrape was considered when I would hold a block off with stiff arms and side step them into an open hole - usually to meet the running back. Well that's at least what they told me, lol

    Ok that jives with my understanding of the term too.

    A nice play, but more of a power beat the man move, no stiff arm or holding off the block, just blowing all shit up lol.

    I kid i kid, yeah, I thought art of the scrape tackle sounded like an oriental title, but i needed to flare.
