The Blue Room-Home of Giants Football It has been a helluva offseason and many new faces in new places, including the new look New York Giants. With the hiring of coach Cimmy in his sophomore season in the OMFL, the Giants look to go further then they did last year in the playoffs. After the draft and picking up some free agents, Coach Cimmy has this team ready to take on the league. In week 1 however, things would look like they still need to improve. After being beat by divison rival Philadelphia 28-17 in the City of Brotherly Love, the Giants will be hitting the practice fields before their week 2 matchup against Seattle. QB Eli Manning had a dreadful day throwing 4 interceptions. HB Stewart had a solid game with the only 2 TDs for New York, but was sidelined for a majority of the game with injury. 2nd HB Andre Brown was able to step in and do work for New York while Stewart was tending to his injuries, with 101 yards on only 8 carries. The defense started out sluggish, but were able to stop the Eagle offense. LB David Harris showed New York and Coach Cimmy that they made a good choice in not trading him away with 7 tackles on the day.
