Las Vegas, NV.-A pesky Air Force team couldn't hold off The Cardinal, as Stanford overcame 6 interceptins to win the Las Vegas Bowl 29-21. Stanford QB Micah Bower really struggles, turning the ball over 6 times on some suspect throws. HB Adam Nicholas dashed for 91 yards on 13 carries, and was the difference at the end of the day. Defensively, ROLB Zach Nichols was all over the field. He collected 10 total tackles, 3 TFL, and an interception. The Cardinal will have a difficult time replacing him next season. Stanford now focuses its attention to the offseason, and should finish ranked in the top 10 and gain a 4th star. Recruiting was pretty much a wash this season, as all these 3* guys should have little impact early. Look for Coach Mayernick to really figure out this offense and get re-acclimated to the college game. As it stands now, Stanford will struggle mightily next year.
