The curiosity that is Brandon Porter

So following the game against Penn State, I took my first quick gander at Michigan, who we play in a couple weeks.

Last year the guy that was tough to stop was this wide receiver named Brandon Porter... Rusty loves this guy, and it's pretty easy to see why. He's 6'6" with 99 speed. Heh... that'll win a few battles.

What I don't understand is this guy's overall rating. He's so underrated it's not even funny.

I'll give you the ratings and then the OVR will be at the bottom.

    First of all he's a fifth-year senior.

    6'6" 219
    99 SPD
    88 AWR
    82 AGI
    86 ACC
    81 CIT
    91 SPC
    87 CTH
    85 RTE
    84 RLS
    83 ELU

All those are pretty good right? Dominant speed, great awareness, good moves off the line, runs good routes...

    84 OVERALL!? WTF???

Solid player but has only really seen the field the last two years. He should have seen more time as a soph.

He is one of my favorite players in this game to date, monstor size and speed and he has made some huge plays.

His main issue is drops at huge moments in games.

Yeah I'm just saying... Those ratings do not add up to that OVR, no matter how you slice it.

Seems right...he is basically Bernard berrian...elite speed...can make the spectacular catch but he is slow off the snap, isn't really agile and has ok hands...he is no j.Jackson.

I guess I'm going by how effective they are in the game, I guess we know speed/acc is all that matters but he seems pretty well rounded. Jackson was also more of a monster speed guy, his OVR was never all that high IIRC... maybe 5-6 pts. higher than this guy.

I have a guy that is SO freaking sick in the other league I'm in, lol.

Marvin Patrick, the guy is a 96 OVR or so as a true sophomore.
