The thing about it is, once a user reaches the 90's more than likely the user will be able to beat the CPU on a regular basis.... and the user team will be stacked even that much quicker.....
True. Never though about it like that. Also if we can get the sliders just right where high power CPU teams are nearly impossible to beat unless you play smart football, then we should have no problems.
so you want to play again robo qb's and robo running backs? i dont care about the recruiting, powerhouse teams should get great players.... but robo qb's and backs that cant be tackled..?
I will tune the sliders for recruiting and gameplay to yield realistic results. One of the problems with that is that we have such a wide range of skills in this league. Some people are going to put up dumb numbers every season, while some will struggle. Everyone knows that I hate ROBO players as much as the next person. I think the new recruiting system, the rebuilder teams, slightly tweaked rosters, realistic redshirting, and tough sliders will all help us achieve an even more realistic experience than ever.
Its all good Drifter, i trust your judgement... about the teams, i guess me and Dru are waiting on Sanders...
When you say realistic redshirting, what do you mean? In real life, I know Virginia Tech only plays about 3 or 4 true freshmen. They love to redshirt just about every player. I usually follow the same mantra unless a guy on my team is good enough to crack the two-deep.
If I was to switch to the SEC, it'd be for South Carolina. This is up to Drifter and JR if they want to do this switch. I was mostly just trying to help out if anyone wanted to switch teams.
2 things: 1) I like how your profile mantra is "I hate change" yet you keep trying to switch teams. hahaha 2) As lone member in the Big 12 North, you can only switch if you tell me what your avatar pic is. I can't figure out who the hell that is for the life of me.
I really do hate change... but thats a different topic all together..... the avatar pic is on Sean Singletary after he beat Duke with a floater falling down..... as a Wahoo fan being at the game, its a memorable moment for me.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ9Exr0LQC0&feature=related
Wow, step away for a morning from the PC and 3 pages of discussion happen, go figure. I'll stick in the SEC JR, you have seniority around here so you should have first crack at any changes. Someone brought up rethinking team selection, and I'll admit that occurred to me as well. When I think of a rebuilder I don't usually associate that with a team rated 86 overall (as Miss St is). Were these three conferences chosen because they have conference championships? If the CPU isn't more competitive this year than in the past, I think the SEC schools are going to have an early advantage due to strength of talent in the South and the fact that the bad schools are better than the mid-level schools in the ACC/Big 12. But I'm cool with the Bulldogs.

Teams in Red are Teams Taken....
I think I talked about this before. I will have to work out the issues, but basically, if a kid can play, he should play and not be redshirted (even if that is on special teams). As opposed to everyone's current method of redshirting the entire class and pulling them as needed. In real life, the NCAA hates this because it's a ton of paperwork and a long process to redshirt a kid. Not to mention the academic considerations to a fifth year in school.
As a Duke fan for the past 15 years, I will NOT watch that damn youtube video of that damn shot. I'm glad Singletary graduated. Enough said!!!
joy. I get to play you every year, haha. I'm going to try and use a different offense this season, and go with an arial assault. I'm not sure how well I will do, but I'm going to try and stick with it for a few seasons at least.
Fair enough. Also, with the new sub rules we can put guys in on kickoff, or special teams, unlike in years past.
Looks like everyone is ducking OM, lol. I kid, but I think all this talk about re-builder/non-rebuilder is a bit overblown. We are talking about the difference from an 82 team to an 85 team, basically indistinguishable. We all know that when it comes down to it, certain attributes matter more than others, so who is to know how this will play out once we see how teams look on paper. For example, doesn't Colorado have a stud HB that is a true Soph? I would say that is more valuable than if a team has a slightly better HB that is a senior in '11. I could just see all this moving, just for guys to move again once the game drops, but it does give more something to read while I'm at work.
