Option 1: BigXII N: GoGators - Missouri Sanders - Colorado BigXII S: Bondzai - Oklahoma/Texas Bogey - Baylor SEC W: Lawdog - Ole Miss Flo - Alabama/LSU SEC E: Khaalis - Kentucky JrRawlins - South Carolina/Vandy ACC A: Drifter - Wake Forest Mutt/Open - NC State ACC C: Shaun - Georgia Tech BBJ - North Carolina/Duke + Very strongly clustered around the south coastal region provides great recruiting interactions with the SEC and ACC teams. + Conferences are somewhat balanced - Big XII is isolated. Option 2: Big XII N: GoGators - Missouri Sandman - Colorado Mutt/JrRawlins/Flo/Open - Kansas State/Kansas/Iowa State Big XII S: Bondzai - Texas Bogey - Texas Tech Drifter - Texas A&M ACC A: JrRawlins/Mutt/Open/Flo - NcState Khaalis - Wake Forest/Maryland Flo/Open - Clemson ACC C: BBJ - North Carolina Shaun - Georgia Tech Flo/Mutt/Open - Duke/Virginia (I would even be good with Flo taking Miami here) + Better balance between conferences and divisions + Closer recruiting battles in Texas and southern Gulf coast (although the conferences will be somewhat isolated between each other). + Fits more people in the Big XII - Limits the amount of teams by moving to a two conference setup. Eliminates the SEC. - Limits the amount of OOC games (lets be honest, we got pretty tired of the same OOC games in this years game). Again guys, I'm just sort of laying it out and seeing how it looks on paper.
Just curious how LSU/Alabama or Oklahoma/Texas is considered a rebuilder? Georgia Tech as well. Did we change from the rebuilder decision?
Based on the conference setup without moving teams around, those are the worst teams remaining in the division....
I looked and GT isn't on the list...I just wanted to run the fleXbox One. Anyway, if that is an issue, I will take whoever BBJ doesn't take out of UNC/Duke. Bondzai gets his choice for reason's I will let someone else explain more diplomatically that I can put it.
Alabama will be ranked #1 in the game. If they're the worst team remaining in the SEC I'm really confused. That logic implies Arkansas and Miss St will be better than Bama and LSU?
That's the understanding I had. It really doesn't matter to me, I would just like to be on the same page though as in rebuilders or mixed for team selections.
You have to look at who I allowed to choose better teams. I did it for balancing reasons. They guys who I gave better teams know that I don't mean any disrespect. Just trying to keep things fair for everyone. And I agree with Gtech. Probably shouldn't be classified as a rebuilder. So Shaun would be forced to take something else. Again guys, it's just ideas...
I still can't decide if I like the 2 conference or 3 conference setup. With three conferences, I think it gives the CPU a better advantage because we only have two teams in each division, so the CPU has a better chance of actually winning the division and playing in the conference championship game. With three conferences, we can also play more out of conference games against other users because we will have less in-conference user games.
Well, all you guys did 2 in here for `10, I did 2 for `10 in SE, so let's mix it up and go with 3 for `11. Nothing wrong with mixing it up a little.
I like the 3 confrence setup as i think it will give us more flexability with OOC. I think we had problems with never knowing how many user conf games some teams had. thats just my observation. We can always bring back the 1v1v1 OOC we did in 09(mixing div each yr)
Yeah I am leaning toward the 3 Conference setup, but I just hope it does not deteriorate from trash talking. With only 4 people in a conference, 2 in each division, it may kill the alliances with the conferences, no? That is my biggest worry with 3 conferences. Other than that, I think 3 conferences will be fun.
I agree the 2 conference setup makes for some interesting trash talking and pride in your conference. We did it in SE for `10 and it was a really cool setup. Only problems for us was once you got some turnover the teams to choose from were very limited and the OOC scheduling is tough. Shouldn't have to worry about the turnover in this league, but the OOC is rough still. Sounds like you guys did 3 conferences in `09, which years setup was more fun `09 or `10?
Personally I liked the two conference we did this year. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was custom, which really jacked the scheduling stuff up. UGA and GTech play in week 2 of every year. SEC conference games started anywhere from week 2 to week 4 while the Big XII didn't start until at least week 3 and more often week 4 or 5. This year, whether we do a 2 or a 3 conference setup, I think we are going to try and do more realistic OOC setup. We will probably start everyone on a two year rotation. I'll go into more detail about that later. But basically you will only play 1 OOC opponent. The rotation will keep things fresh so that we aren't tired of playing the same OOC opponents after season 5. We get through plenty of seasons in this league, no need to try and pack all of the matchups into the first four years.
the one thing about the 3 conference setup that intrigues me personally is each year... there could be 3 teams that have a legit shot at a national title bid and i am thinking their will be multiple seasons where there is one team that is on the outside looking in.. while it will be cool to have the intrigue each season.... the 2 conference setup may be the way to go.....
Same here, I would really like to see more guy get a shot at playing for a title, we could set up the OOC schedule on a rotational basis something like this... Year 1 Big IIX North vs ACC Costal SEC West vs ACC Atlantic BIG IIX South vs SEC East Year 2 Big 12 North vs Sec West ACC Costal vs SEC East Big 12 South vs ACC Atlantic And so on, this would put everyone on a 4 year rotation so games would not get stagnant. I'm all for guys getting to use teams they like, but lets be honest, after a few seasons none of that matters. Especially with lower level teams, 2-3 years in we usually clean house and only have a few holdovers from the roster we inherited. I would rather have it go by previous success, So Lawdog for example went like 120-10, he would have to start off as one of the available 2-star programs and build them up, and a team like Mizzou, who started off slow but once he got his team did great, would start off with a better squad and have the challenge of keeping them there. Just my two cents...
i like the rotational system..... and as i said before, i dont care what teams people pick... after 2 or 3 years, the teams changed as our own recruits begin to take over...
