I don't know if you guys remember, but Beetle was primed to be a bonafide stud until he tore his labrum right before he was going to get his big league callup. That was a tough one to swallow.
Its funny, I was just talking to ryalaman a few days ago about Barnes. While he has been a stud and considering what he gave up he cant be dissapointed, Barnes really hasnt lived up to his billing (especially with those attributes). I think its fair to say that virtually everyone thought he would be a perennial MVP contender year in and year out.
Yeah the similar path that Bryant and Beetle shared was crazy. I guess the game feels that a torn labrum is easier to bounce back from than a torn UCL.
Crazy end to the AA All-Star game..... Fmode11 Erie's Tony Rodriguez hits a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 9th. Ken Welsch New Britain Juan Jose Garcia hit s solo home run in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game and force extras (go figure rylaman Carlos "the Texas Wonder" Rivera blows save). Then in the bottom of the 12th abolishthefed Richmond Flint Hurst hits a game winning walk-off home run. PAgamer07 John Fonsec records unassignable game MVP by default.
If you look Hines pitched a 1/3 of an inning and had a strike out, he didn't blow the save. Also Juan Garcia for me tied it up in the bottom of the 9th. K. Numbers is the one with the blown save, just for the correction, Hines didn't blow the save.
These are the 3 guys who got late season call ups. Lewis and Randell were September guys and I think all three earned a real shot at the opening day roster for next season.
2028 Top 10 Hitters & Pitchers # = Rank out of the top 100 (April 1, 2025) Hitters Hunter: Mets Valdes: Angels Dale: Angels Colon: Cubs Pitchers LA: Angels Ortega: Cubs Clement: White Sox
Finally have 2 top 20 recruits. Gotta hope Colon gets most of his contact. But Ortega had some major growth in the off-season. Henry Parker being so low is a joke, though.

This guy might be the most developed 18 year old I've ever seen. I'm heavily debating giving him a September callup.
