Since this is week 1 I'll need to do formation subs first. It'll be longer than 20 minutes. I'll tentatively say 30 minutes from now.

dakota7 we'll have to try tomorrow I guess. I was finishing up my formation subs when I got kicked off of XBL for some reason. I still can't connect now (despite the fact that I'm connected to the internet everywhere else) and even if I could, I'd rather not take a chance of getting disconnected while we're playing (since it happened for no apparent reason. I've been watching Netflix just fine for a few hours so I'm not sure what's going on.

When can you play tomorrow (or Saturday if tomorrow is out).

Masler, we're still on 8 minute quarters. This should probably be changed now so it'll take effect for week 2.

Damn. My CPU controlled pass rushers are KILLING me!

They've extended the 1st 2 drives already with roughing the passer penalties.

Something to keep an eye on Masler. We just had our 5th roughing the passer call less than 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter

Yes I'm aware. It will be turned down. I restarted vs Georgia after 8 of them in a quarter in a half in a test to see if turning them down would do anything but just like the sliders they do not take immediate effect. Something I experimented is the call seems to come mostly when you blitz, have yet to have one called if I don't blitz.

I rarely blitzed. I occasionally rushed 5, but almost always brought 3 or 4. I had 4 roughing calls and dakota had 3 (1 I declined since I scored a TD on the play).

2 of them were HUUUUUUUGE in the game too. I was trailing with < 1 minute to play, needed a TD. Came up way short on 3rd (and 9 I think) but a roughing call extended my drive and I scored the winning TD.
On the next drive Dakota was driving and I think a roughing call is what put him into FG range.

This baffles me because I have roughing at 54 in my offliner and NEVER get it called either way and thought I would round it up to 55. Crazy how much difference it makes. I'll bump it back to 54.

Yeah, I had completed the pass short. I think it was a first down. The killer was tackling you short before your touchdown. Would've been 4th and 6 I think.

Most penalties aren't that touchy, but roughing really, really is. 1 point is the difference between too few and WAY too many. Check it out some of the highlights sometime. It's pretty damned funny (I've done this when toying with the sliders for my offline). You'll see a defender in the area (but not touching the QB) and often turning around to chase down the ball after the pass, and the QB will just fall down and there'll be a roughing call.

Georgia beat me due to a roughing call on their final drive and I had tackled the guy short. It is what it is. Lesson learned.
