Looks like it's time for another rule: no voting for your own guy.

I narrowed the choices down by position to come up with my vote.

DEs went to my guy Mitchell because of more tackles and TFLs.
HBs went to Leverett due to YPC and 0 fumbles in 188 carries.
QBs went to Terrell due to the extra curriculars (the dude had more passing yards than my #1 guy AND more receiving yards than my #1 receiver!)

Defense went to Mitchell due to sacks over Kirkpatrick's tackles
Offense went to Mathews due to sheer volume of stats, but I did find it tough to argue against Terrell's smorgasbord of stats.

Overall I went with Mathews' crazy high stats.

Dude was a beast. Caught everything in every game except for my Bowl Game. Honestly why i voted for my own guy too. If Skinner was up there, he'd of gotten my vote.

I laughed at UofC voting for his WR

Terrell only played half of last season at wideout for me. So I doubled what he had to project against Mathews, and followed everyone's selfish trend of voting for their own player (which shouldn't happen)

Plus, how sweet would it be to have the MVP be a guy that got benched from his starting job lol

The 7 picks and 4 fumbles had a lot to do with me not voting for Terrell.

But Robertson had more sacks and forced fumbles. He also played for the ACC champs and since this is a Most Valuable Player award (not a player of the year award), being the best player on a championship team should count for something.

My guy had a FR so your 3 FFs is close to my FF and FR. Also, your team may have won your conference by beating a CPU team, but my team finished with the better rank(#2) if you wanna use the "better team" argument. Since I chose Mathews (with Terrell second), obviously I'm voting for the "best guy" and not the "best guy on the best team."

    Something like that....

Another way to interpret that was that both Mathews and Terrell played for shitty teams (as opposed to Mitchell and Robertson who played for stellar teams).

Lol, you can only play who they tell you to play. Can hardly hold that against a guy. That's awesome that you finished #2!!! Did you win your conference? Which I know is what you feel is more important, based on your team preview.

Are you implying I was "given a free win" in the ACC champ game?

That's exactly what I'm saying. I'm sure we won't agree on this, and if it makes you feel any better I'd imagine the other 9 guys in this OD would agree with you, but with these sliders I think every CPU game should be an automatic win. I view this a lot like the coaching goals. Some goals, like win the conference championship, have lots of green arrows, meaning it's a great accomplishment, and no/few red arrows, meaning it doesn't hurt you if you fail because it was a tough goal. Conversely, other goals, like my goal to make a bowl game every season, have no green arrows, meaning who fucking cares if you succeed because you're supposed to, and lots of red arrows, meaning if you fail then that's pretty horrible.

With these sliders I see all CPU games as a "no green arrow, lots of red arrows" situation. It means absolutely nothing if you win (be it a regular season game, CCG, or BCS bowl game) because there's no way in hell that you should lose. On the other hand, it looks pretty damned terrible if you lose because that should never happen (with these sliders). As for you CCG, I feel whole heartedly that it was an automatic win for you so I give your conference championship no more credence than any of the other teams that also won their division, but lost their CCG to a user (probably 7 teams). Again, I know you don't agree and that you almost certainly don't care what I think, but that's what I think.

As you can see below, you haven't lost a CPU game (in at least 18 games) in over 2 years. That sounds pretty damned automatic to me. I know we're not talking about me, but it looks like I've only lost 1 CPU game this entire OD (it was to Texas in year 1) out of 32 CPU games.

I see your "no upside, all downside" theory. I disagree it was a free win. Maryland tied it up to start the 4th if I recall correctly. But I definetly see your point.
