We do not have freshmen starting this season at MSU, aside from Kicker Gary Ricks. There are a couple players that could eventually get a starting role

FS Jesse Moore (FR, 81 OVR) - Moore isn't far behind starting safety Greg Smith (R-JR, 83 OVR) and Moore could eventually surpass Smith on the depth chart.

DT Jason Van (FR, 81 OVR) - Van is third on the depth chart but may be moved to the #2 spot with Cedric Rogers (SO, 81 OVR). The other starter at the moment is Ricky Dixon (R-JR) but Rogers, Van and Mark Burns (R-FR, 80 OVR) have way more upside than Dixon.

CB Jake Love (FR, 78 OVR) - Love is the dime back and could move up if there are any injuries. MSU is very thin at CB this season so that has been a focus in recruiting this year.

FR Wr Kelvin Heffner- 5 catches 80 yards

(rs)FR Cb John Hagen- 8 tackles 0.5 sacks
Hagen is playing the nickel spot. Northwestern tried picking on him in the first game but he played well.

FR CB Johnathan Ginn- He is starting as a true freshman. He comes in 78 overall.

FR RB Dusty Flowers- He might end up being the back up and third down back by seasons end. He fits the Air Raid the best of all the RB's.
