In late breaking news, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have just released that HC Brian Kelly has just resigned due to an eliged scandal on the Irish campus. No details have been released, but it has been confirmed that Kelly is out and interim HC Coach Forever has been hired to take his place until further notice. The Chronicle will keep you posted when more details are released.

    Notre Dame Victory!
The hostile Pittsburgh crowd could not help the Panthers beat rival Notre Dame.

Pittsburgh- The Irish under interim Coach Forever, played pretty well in their 52-28 win over rival Pitt Panthers. The score appeared closer than the game really was due to some late scores the Panther offense put up in the concluding quarter. The running game for ND was stellar as they had two HB's to top the 150yd rushing mark in the same game. HB Cierre Wood lead the way with 190yds on 27 carries with 3 td's. The defense, particularly the rush defense, also played well allowing just 6yds rushing the entire game. The win puts ND at 3-1 a third of the way through the season. Next up for the Irish, a trip to Indiana to face the Boilermakers of Purdue.

IRISH USE SECOND HALF TO WALK AWAY WITH WIN!

Indiana- The Fighting Irish palyed good, sound defense in the second half to pull away from The Boilermakers in a hard fought battle. The running game for ND was good, not great, as they pounded the rock constantly in the fourth quarter to get their fourth win of the season. QB, Dayne Crist had some early turnover problems in the game, but recovered quite nicely in the seocnd half to lead his team to victory. Next up for ND, a home battle against run happy Air Force.

    Final Score:

    ND: 42

    Purdue: 20

Trojans Limp Out of South Bend

Hostility abounds in South Bend as Notre Dame knocks off USC.

South Bend- Notre Dame put up a daunting array of points in the 4th quarter to shock the The Trojans of USC. Trailing 41-31 to start the 4th, 4 different players scored td's, (including the defense) and the defense finally showed up to blank USC's potent offense, which they couldn't do the previous three. The running game for The Irish was pretty stout as HB Cierre Wood and back-up HB Jonas Gray each rushed for 120yds and a score. The win gives ND a 6-1 overall record a little over midway through the season. Next up for ND, a home game against rival Navy Midshipmen.

    Final Score:

    USC: 41

    ND: 59
