Jets come back from 14 down to beat 'Phins 24-21

Megatron caught 9 balls for 160 yards and 1 TD

New York -- On a day where the running game struggled to find a rhythm, QB Mark Sanchez carried the Jets to their 10th victory of the year.

Following an LT fumble, the Dolphins came out firing on all cylinders as a 26-yard touchdown pass from Henne to Marshall would put Miami up 7-0.

After a Jets' punt, the Dolphins would strike again with a 9-yard pass from Henne to Harline. Dolphins up 14-0 after one.

Then the Jets' D stepped up.

Miami would not score in the second quarter, but the Jets would behind the crazy-like athletic ability of WR Calvin Johnson. Shonn Greene would cap off a drive with a 6-yard touchdown run to pull the Jets within a touchdown.

Both defenses would continue to stifle the two offenses, but Brandon Marshall would put an end to that with a 10-yard touchdown pass to put Miami back up two touchdowns with just over 3 minutes to play in the third quarter. It would be the last time Miami would score.

On a 3rd and inches on the Dolphin 10, the Jets decided to go for a pass play and it ended up paying dividends as McKnight was wide open in the flat for the 10-yard TD scamper. 21-14 Dolphins at the end of 3.

The Jets owned the fourth quarter in terms of scoring. First, Sanchez connected with Calvin Johnson for a 6-yard touchdown pass to even things up.

With just over two minutes left, the Dolphins faced a 3rd and long from midfield. Henne dropped back to pass but the coverage was (finally) tight. The Jets only brought three but it would be all they needed as Shaun Ellis got to Henne for a huge sack. Miami would be forced to punt.

The Jets, possessing all of their timeouts, began their drive down the field by surprising Miami with runs.

On a 3rd and short, Sanchez would find David Clowney over the middle for a huge gain up to about midfield. It was no secret who the Jets looked to next: Megatron. On a corner route, Johnson was in tight coverage with safety help, but Sanchez let it fly and Megatron made the catch at about the 33.

With two timeouts and the 10mph wind at their back, the Jets rushed the ball three times eventually getting down to the 29 yard line for Nick Folk. With the clock turning all gooseeggs, Folk's 44 yarder went right down the middle.

Great game Mustang! You're a very solid owner!

Matt...we let this slide for the first week, but you need to be posting updates in here, not just a copy/paste of your game article

Jets battle back to defeat Bears 30-27
    [IMG]
Chicago--On one of Mark Sanchez's worst days, the Jets were able to pull out a 30-27 thanks to a Nick Folk field goal as time expired.
The ball game started off looking as if was going to be a defensive struggle when both teams exchanged field goals with 2:06 left in the first quarter.
The Jets would be the first to taste paydirt--though certainly not the last--as Mark Sanchez connected with Calvin Johnson Jr. for a 4-yard touchdown. But on the ensuing kickoff, Devin Hester went 96 yards to the house to tie the game at 10 at the end of one.
The second quarter saw more stellar defense as a Gould field goal at 1:18 mark would be the lone score in the quarter. Bears 13-10 at half.
The Jets, behind the legs of Ladanian Tomlinson and the hands of Calvin Johnson, were able to tie the score with a Folk field goal with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd.
The Bears would come right back and score on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Cutler to Johnny Knox as the 3rd quarter came to a close with the Bears up 20-13.
    Then all hell broke loose.
The Jets would put together two brilliant drives with both ending in touchdown runs. The first was 25 yard run by Shonn Greene, The 2nd, an 11-yard toss and run to rookie Joe McKnight. 27-20 Jets.
The Jets D, which had looked impressive all game, was suddenly gutted by Cutler. The Bears moved down the field with ease and eventually found the endzone on a 24-yard pass from Cutler to Bennett. At first the TD was ruled incomplete but with under 2 minutes left in the game the booth challenged it and the call was overturned. Touchdown Bears. 27 all.
With 40 seconds and all of their timeouts left, the Jets looked to manufacture a game-winning drive--and they did just that.
After a couple short passes, Sanchez dropped back and saw Santonio Holmes in single coverage on a streak right up the middle of the field. Sanchez, whose accuracy was shaky all game, let it rip and Holmes came down with it inside the Bear 30. Tomlinson centered the ball in the middle of the field allowing Nick Folk to kick the game-winning 25-yard field goal as time expired.
    Great game SRC. Great defense

Rumor has it the Jets have found a buyer for Calvin Johnson Jr. The media in New York broke the story a week ago and Jet fans are left wondering if this news will affect Johnson's performance come playoff time. The Jets are currently sitting second in the AFC East but have clinched a playoff berth. Fans in the Big Apple feel this could be the year the Jets finally win another Super Bowl. It may also be the last time Calvin Johnson sets foot in the new Meadowlands.

The Jets have also announced that should New England beat Miami next week, Coach Davis will rest his starters in an attempt to avoid injury heading into the wild card round of the playoffs.
