Trying to replace an exciting, though sometimes equally frustrating, player like T. Romo is no easy task. But 2nd yr QB Jimmy Echavaria had a plan in place from the moment he learned of Romo's retirement. "Just gonna take it one game at a time. Learn from my mistakes and continue to work hard to get better," stated the young signal caller.

Well, it's only one game but, if his week 1 performance is any indication, he won't be making too many mistakes. Echavaria completed over 90% of his passes to 6 different receivers. He threw for over 300yds and 1 TD while not turning the ball over once. With the defense stacked to stop the run in the 4th, he took advantage of that aggressive play and continued to convert 3rd downs, keeping the chains moving and the clock ticking.

His teammates were full of praise for the young man afterwards. "He played lights out. No other way to describe it," said WR Dez Bryant.

It's hard to overshadow a player like A. Peterson, who had over 100yds and a TD in this game but, that's exactly what Echavaria did with his performance. No one seemed to notice that D. Murray also had a solid game, rushing for over 100yds and punching it in 3 times.

Dallas can only hope this is the man who will take them into the playoffs. Stay tuned...
