    As more games get played, the RPI rankings become more specific. Evidence of this is that there is just 1 tie between just 2 teams in this week's rankings. As expected, there's a big shakeup this week. The only thing consistent is at the bottom of the rankings as the Jets are still holding it down. Interestingly though, the AFC has taken control of the top 5 spots and are asserting their dominance over the NFC early in the season. As seen from week 2 to 3 though, things can change quickly early in the season as the Giants drop from #1 to #12.
