This will be my another production of a TRADITION ONLINE dynasty taking place in the "who the hell knows what the damn name is so we just call it TBD" league. ALL rules/guidlines/principles will be followed in FULL. I tend to get a bit in depth and creative when it comes to these things (acquired from Helli and FieldingBlue [from NCAAstrategies] methinks...) as I think that this is just as fun of a part of the game as playing and competing is. Throughout the thread you will undoubtedly see the use of AViD Dynasty manager (www.avidmanager.com/) MANY thanks and big props to that, it really is a pretty dang neat tool.

As usual, if anyone reads, I hope you like!

    Beginning of a New Era?
Maryland Shocks and Topples #15 Cal 28-7

University Park, MD (AP) - "There's really no better way to begin something than this was," said a jubilant first-year head coach in Jman after his Terrapins dominated a top 15 team in Cal, "Yes, we pulled off a big one to kick it off here, but we have got alot of improvements to get through before conference play starts, lots to do." Lots to do or not the Terrapins physically dominated the Cal Bears and came with the gameplan of understanding that they had to be more physical than Cal's offense and they did so to a tee.

Defensively the only points surrendered were by the second team defense with no time left in the game, otherwise the unbelievable linebacker speed that Marylands aggressive 3-4 possesses did its job to a tee. The defense managed to force 3 turnovers that included a defensive TD on a fumble recovery and they even held Cal to 1/4 in the redzone. This was an impressive opening performance by the Terrapin D.

Offensively DaRel Scott ran the show...literally. He took over the offense after the first quarter and amassed an impressive 29 carries for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The passing game did its thing as well gaining nearly 300 in the air while spreading the ball around all of their dangerous speed. A problem that must be overcome however is the four committed turnovers, that just cannot happen come conference play.

Up next for the Terrapins, a "tuning" game if you will as they will open their home slate and play host the C-USA cellar dweller Tulane.

The ACC is showing up big in early out of conference play. I like it!

I will be a conference guy, rooting for all my ACC brethren in their tilts with other conference foes. We need to outshine those midwest guys from the Big 12.
