    Week 5
    #1 Texas @ # 24 Missouri

After much anticipation, the folks in Missouri were ready for the big showdown with the #1 team in the country, the Texas Longhorns. Texas was coming into this contest sitting pretty at 4-0 and riding a long winning streak back to last season including a National Championship victory. Missouri came into the game at 2-0 after bye weeks week 1 and 3 and a victory already over a top 5 team Maryland in week 2 and a win against Arkansas in week 4. Coach Runthepound was hopeful for the game knowing that the homefield advantage would be on his side. Many top recruits were in the stands to what it could be like to play for the Tigers. The National Television stations were in attendance as this was the Saturday night game of the week. Needless to say the stage was set for a huge win or a huge letdown for Missouri fans. Lets just say they got their moneys worth.

    Texas Mizzou
    312 Total Yards 371
    30 Rush Yards 15
    282 Pass Yards 356
    2 TO's 1
    11 1st Downs 17
    9:06 T.O.P. 15:09

    Texas 7 7 7 7 28
    Mizzou 10 17 3 0 30

Texas would get the ball first and score quickly to go up 7-0 on a WR streak which beat press coverage. Mizzou would answer with a TD of their own on as WR Jaleel Clark caught a tight pass through coverage and took it to the house.

On Texas' next possesion Mizzou would hit the HB in the flats and force a fumble that would result in a FG.

    Force Fumble by William Henry

Texas would add 2 rushing TD's and a FG before the half and Txas would hit another WR in stride for another TD making the halftime score 27-14.

2nd half would be more of a control the ball game for Mizzou only resulting in 1 FG as Texas would score another TD in the 3rd. Late in the 4th, Texas would try again for a long pass. This time it was well covered inderneath and over the top as FS Ira Marshall would time his jump perfectly and come down with the INT.

With time winding down in the 4th Qtr., and Mizzou trying to run the clock down, Texas would force a 3rd down play. Coach Runthepound, hoping to catch the Longhorns in a blitz, called a pass play with under 2 mins to go. The result would be a pick that would allow Texas to have a shot at getting back in it. Sho nuff, A few play later, the Texas QB would walk it into the end zone on a 5 WR set from 4 yards out. This would bring the game to 30-28 where it would end after Mizzou would recover the onside kick and kneel out the clock.

Great Game to ControllerAbuser! It was a fun one to be a part of. Both teams had Season Showdown turned on and there were 0 strategy points allotted to either team. Great str8 sim game.

    #21 Mizzou @ #15 Oklahoma State

Mizzou entered this game hoping to use the Texas game from week 5 as a spring board into the rest of the season. This game could have easily been a huge let down for the Tigers after the big win, coming in on a high. Well luckily they were able to demolish the OK State Cowboys and prove they are for real. Game got off to a slow start in the 1st Qtr but the Tigers let it loose from then on. Mizzou would go on a 45-0 run before the CowPokes would get on the board late in the game against the 2nd stringers of Mizzou.

    Final Score
    Mizzou 45
    Ok State 7

Here are some highlights. Mizzou was able to get a lot of help from their defense as shown in these clips.
