    The Music City Bowl

BC got the opportunity this year to be in the glorious Music City Bowl in a match up against CMU which is one of Coach Jake's favorite teams to place a wager on every once in a while. Early on in the game BC had some turn overs which really hurt them as BC took a 14-3 game. With BC's starting QB going down for the season about 6 weeks ago the Sophmore backup had to do his thing once again. BC couldn't run which is quite unusual with their impact RB as both CMU's impact LB's shut down the run. At half time the score was 14-10 CMU. BC took to the air in the 2nd half hitting favorite targets at the TE and Slot positions. Once BC took the lead 24-21 they drove down the field trying to run down the clock. BC took the ball down to the CMU 1 YD line where they turned the ball over on downs. With not much time left on the clock CMU drove all the way down to the BC 10 YD line only needing a FG to send the bowl game into over time. But CMU was going for the win as the threw a shady pass on 3rd and 10 into the endzone which was user picked by the free safety and downed in the endzone. Two kneel downs later and you now have your 2010 Music City Bowl champions Boston College Eagles. Coach Jake after the game discussed the city and said that he was not content at the way the season ended up with 4 of BC's losses coming down to 3 pt. games where turn overs were the major factors. We are optimistic that next season will be one for the record books as we return 90 percent of our starters. No further comments....
