The NFL is completely wrong in Williams' Case

Another ruling in the suspended Williams case that favours the NFL although the players who tested positive for a banned substance may still not get suspended.

I personally think the NFL is a giant douschebag in this whole thing. The players didn't know the banned substance was in StarCaps but the NFL did and refused to notify them so players would stop taking it! They wanted to catch players! Ridiculous. It's like an undercover cop working as a bartender, feeding beers to drunks and then arresting them for being intoxicated. Every NFL player is expected to work out, take protein shakes, and get as strong as possible. If the NFL knows something is tainted they should have let these guys know.

Here's a quote from the judge in the case who admonished the NFL, "(NFL Vice President) Birch knew NFL players were inadvertently ingesting bumetanide when they took StarCaps, but made a conscious decision not to tell players, the teams, the players' union or federal regulators. Birch knew full well that players would continue taking StarCaps and testing positive for bumetanide. ... Birch was playing a game of 'gotcha."

Here's the full story. I don't know how the NFL can not claim any guilt in this.
