I'm trying to make things easier for Keller and gather a centralized consensus of the league in this thread. The argument is that if you have a HB with as good or better catching abilities than your current WRs, why not use him at that position? If you have him at the 4th spot, then the defense is still able to match up personal (they see 3 WRs), so that really shouldn't be an issue. Here is Wess Hess as an example:

You can't deny he has the catching abilities to be a WR. Thoughts?

Looks more of a wr than a hb

The guy who has him in my other league utilizes him as a WR. Hes decent at WR but the Owner also asks you before the game if you mind that he uses him in that fashion.

i would say yeah i would also say we should see alot of realism in certain positions just like in real life the Pats use Hernandez on occassions as a rb and wr so i think its fair to utilize players realistically

The wild part is I drafted him solely to be a RB, I had no idea he could catch that well until I checked later. Dumb luck!

Just being rebellious since no one will give my slow hb to fb the time of day, yet we're gonna let users plug a bunch of running backs in wr slots...this will be abused and taken advantage of.

He wouldn't play the slot, he would be the 4th WR. If his attributes are that of a WR, but he is designated a 'HB' in Madden, how can that be abused? Can he run his routes faster than other speedy WRs? I don't see your point there.

I'm unaware of 'slow hb to fb'; why don't you present your case and ask for a league vote like I did? I think voting 'no' just to be rebellious is quite childish; however, if you have a sound logical argument I'd love to hear it.

Matrix Monkey will you be the first of the 'No's to actually have a valid reason why?

No tolerance policy is just easier.

No tolerance policy in context to what? That is quite a general and vague statement.

Shouldn't voting be anonymous? I won't be voting anymore if ppl are going to be pointed out to everyone for voting a certain way; that's not the right way to do things like this. If you want an opinion, send individuals a PM...

People who voted yes stated why they thought so, you feel that bad about having to explain your position? Sorry, not going to be that easy. Is it that hard to articulate? I guess so if it's basis is in emotional spite.

JSimms to be rebellious; out of spite
Matrix Monkey 'no tolerance policy is easier' (whatever that means...)

K you want my real opinion - if we do this, you open up floodgates for voting of 50 different position changes; and if we allow this, we will be required to listen to and vote on all others to be fair. Let's instead keep our rule book simple; hb plays hb...you knew that when you drafted him. The rules as is are enough to keep track of; not wanting to keep track of what rbs can play what position, etc..

Voting no on a poll because you believe it would create more polls and waste your time is, once again, not a valid reason. I thought the point of the league was to play sim, as in simulate what we see on Sundays. Yeah, HBs are just HBs in the NFL, they keep it simple...

Haha okay fuzzy, you crack my ass up sometimes. Not gonna waste my time arguing over something this pointless in the grand scheme of things. If your logic is as above, then we should also allow hb in fb slot (see two rbs in backfield regularly.) I actually hope this is put in place, bc then there's no way can vote down hb to fb...good luck!!

Also, it wouldn't be 'keeping track of what rbs can play what position', the question is simply is a RB with great catching abilities allowed to be the 4th WR on the depth chart. Don't make it more complicated than it is.

As I stated above, present your case and take a league vote like I did. I don't know why you think I'm so against that.
