The Online Dynasty...Year 2...What did you learn this time around....?

Here are my 2009 thoughts going into 2010...... my thoughts going into 2011 are bolded.....

-- Online dynasties are only as good as their members.......
-- Lawdog's Nintendo Game Genie is awesome "still"....
-- Its really fun to watch someone's game go from average to really good over the course of a year......
-- Building a team from scraps to powerhouse is exciting....(Virginia)
-- DO NOT GO AFTER DRIFTER's RECRUITS, you will only get 11 games and 7 of them will be on the road...... (Still True)
    -- Fuck the BIG XII....
    -- Lawdog plays a 10-1 defense...(STILL)...
-- Mutt has some of the craziest blitzes i have ever seen.....(ALSO TRUE)
-- JK has the sickest passing attack in the TTII, but is allergic to running the ball or stopping the run ( thank god) -- STILL TRUE, but ShaunMason is right behind him....
-- Bogey's run game is downright silly....
-- Hoosier, Flo and Mutt we miss you guys.... very true...
-- I love my Kansas State team, but the recruiting pitches BLOOW....switch out Kansas State with Virginia..
-- Online Dynasties have offically ended my madden career, as long as they keep this shit going, i wont touch madden again... no real reason too....EXTREMELY TRUE
-- Love the Users matchups... and the rivalries.... YES
-- Wish i got to play BBJ and Drifter more..... God No, had enough of both of these bastids....
-- Matt Atkins is a beast.... Make this Kris Hughes this year...
-- Chad Sutton is the anti-christ.... Make this any Georgia #1 WR.....
-- Ron Guidry is a demi-god.... make this Javon Keller
-- Almost forget.... David Harris, David Harris, David Harris... Sorry Bondzai had too....
-- Flo's wife is still the best offensive coordinator i have faced......
-- BBJ always has the best talent but has one shitty game a year...
-- JK and Bondzai have the skillset to win a title but make one or two shitty plays per game which doom them.....
    --
    thats all for now....

I'm still bitter for my running back fumbling a chance at another national title against BBJ and Georgia. (y)

-- Also, I will as always talk a ton of shit during the offseason, especially about Bondzai, Lawdog, and I will have to pick on one of the new guys... I havent decided who yet... it was Graves for a while, but then he stopped showing up..... humm.....who to choose?

I learned that I can out recruit almost everyone and still get my ass beat with a stacked team...

I also learned that a stud recruit on my team doesn't mean much. Because I can't stand whoring him out for awards. My teams play as a team. It's my nature I guess, I can't shake it.

I wasn't here for last season, but since this is my new home I figured I'd participate.

--I must pick a playbook to fit my QB. Anything else results in a 10-2 season (well last year anyways)
--Don't EVER consult one of your fellow league members in choosing an offensive playbook when they're on your schedule. The result is they'll know your playbook better than you and they'll stop everything (damn you Jello!)
--You have to run the ball on occassion, but no more than 10% of the time
--You must get your studs the ball in different situations i.e. `08 Percy at HB
--Recruiting is deeper than just looking at speed and caliber. The position specific ratings are where games are won.
--Don't play against Dru50 w/your headset on while in a party (man he talks alot)
--The best way to beat Shaun is to have him be the Browns and you be the Steelers
--Don't give your 90 overall underclassmen the ball too much, cause then they'll go pro haha j/k.
    --Always take a pregame dump.

What are we playing here - tennis? This is football man, dealing with the crowd noise is part of the game.;)

Things I learned in NCAA 10:
    - Figure out the offensive and defensive scheme you are most comfortable with and recruit players to fit it. I did WAY too much altering my schemes year to year to fit guys I had, which led me to losing 1 game here or there because I didn't know my playbook well enough.
    - Personally, I think playing games with the parties in a chat leads to nipping issues in the bud. Nothing seems to annoy someone more than thinking their opponent is doing something cheap and then having to type up a message about it.
    - I need to spend a lot of time looking at recruiting in 2011. The key in 2010 was understanding that there were a ton of great 3 and 4 star recruits if you were willing to look for em.
    - Don't get in the way of Bondzai and nickel beer night. Nothing good will come of it.

This still hurts. It won't be as easy to take my recruits now that I'm Texas, but I know you will still try and when you do steal some it will hurt that much worse.

I'm starting to think you enjoy this a little bit.

    True story.

I've learned that the only team I can seem to beat in the Deuce is FSU.

no offense to anyone else, but those were really my biggest games every year. They were my make it or break it games. The crappy part, I usually had to play BBJ twice, regular season then the conference championship.

I'm not sure. I know I was undefeated going into the championship game. Our games were usually good games, and always fun. I'm sure one of us blew out the other a couple times, but all I can remember is our games were always close.

It was funny playing you because you seemed to almost know exactly what play I would call on offense, and I could usually figure out what you were going to call on offense. It forced us to to change our gameplan in the middle of games.

Yeah our games were usually great games. I always looked forward to that game the most as it usually had the most meaning...

I got my ass kicked most of this year, I hope I can avoid that a bit this year.:)

Sad thing, most of my wins were against Bondz and Diggin.:)
