Both of these teams came into the contest as losers and not winners. One team would leave with their first win, and one team would leave this contest winless. The Panthers have QB Cam Newton leading the way, while the Bills have rookie FSU QB EJ Manuel leading the charge. This was going to be a fun game.

    First Half:

The first offensive play of the game was a stretch run to the left side of the field by Bills CJ Spiller. BANG. This game started off with a Bang. Spiller made one cut upfield and went to the house for a 74-yard TD run. 7-0 Bills. EJ Manuel drove the Bills down the field upon getting the ball back. EJ Manuel made a rookie mistake and passed the ball when they were on the goaline 3 yard line actually. The pass went right into the defenders hands and the Panthers would capitalize. On the very next play after the Touchback/INT, Cam Newton scampered for a 64 yard TD run. Cam Newton said to CJ Spiller "anything you can do I can do better" Instead of Buffalo going up 14-0, it was now a tie ball game...7 all. WR Stevie Johnson from the Bills added a TD pass in the 2nd quarter and tied it at 14-14 (buff had scored prior). Cam Newton through an INT to Bills LB J.Hughes (his second of the day) before the half ended. The Bills took advantage and added a field goal.

    HALFTIME 17-14 Bills over Panthers

    Second Half:

The Bills coach would find himself frustrated with himself and EJ Manuel. The Bills were again knocking on the goaline, this time at the one yard line. EJ made a QB Read and opted to keep the ball, where he fumbled it. The Bill QB had coughed up another turnover instead of getting a TD. The Panthers had conversely played excellent goal line d, and captured the momentum. Again the Panthers would strike right away. THE VERY NEXT play resulted in a 95-yard TD pass to Steve Smith on a curl route to the right side after a whiff tackle by the CB. 21-17 Panthers. The Panthers would add a field goal as time wind down.
