Oregon Ducks '15 Season 1 Chompion's League is back, and Coach Jandy has found himself in a familiar place. After a successful run out West in the previous version of Chomps, he once again takes the helm at the University of Oregon. However, instead of the usual PAC-12, the Ducks find themselves duking it out with other prestigious programs in a hodgepodge of conferences that now call themselves the new and improved Big Ten. Despite a geographic change of scenery, the Ducks still expect nothing but the best; Chompionship or bust is the mantra. OFFENSE Led by Sophomore standout, Royce Freeman, the Oregon offense expects much of the same when it comes to offensive efficiency and success. It's no secret that Coach Jandy loves the running game, and this year's version of the Ducks has talented running backs in spades. The aforementioned Freeman is just one of many solid backs on the Duck depth chart, which also includes speedsters junior Thomas Tyner and true freshman Taj Griffin. Eastern Washington transfer QB Vernon Adams take the helm and looks to fill the enormous void left by reigning Heisman Trophy Winner, Marcus Mariota. DEFENSE The strength of the defense comes from its front seven, led by DE Deforest Buckner. He looks to torment opposing quarterbacks with fellow starting defensive linemen DE Tui Talia, and defensive tackles Alex Balducci and Austin Maloata. The secondary employs abundant youth, with its only upperclassman being (RS) JR SS Reggie Daniels. In a division with teams that can really air it out, Oregon will be forced to lean on an inexperienced unit out wide, while relying on quarterback pressure from the front seven.
