Oregon Ducks '16 Season 2 The Ducks look to rebound after, by all accounts within in the program, the 2015 campaign was a let down. After starting 3-0 against users, the Ducks dropped two straight home contests to their biggest CL rivals in Ohio State and Notre Dame. While the team progressed nicely on offense, the defense has taken quite a sizeable step back in season 2. OFFENSE Highly touted RS Freshman QB Travis Jonsen will take the helm this season and look to do big things in an offense built for him to step in and succeed. All halfbacks return a year older and a year stronger; Royce Freeman looks to duplicate a solid Sophomore season, but hopes to finish much more consistently than he did last year. DEFENSE A year ago, the strength of the Oregon defense resided in the trenches, as the defensive line picked up the slack from a young secondary. The case is the opposite this year, as the strength of the "Goon Squad" now resides with the little guys outside. Only 2 seniors look to get quality playing time this season, and the success of the year resides on a very youthful defense.
