    NFC

1 Seed - Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12-1 (NFC South Leader - Rhight )

    Season Summary

I doubt anyone saw this coming. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not only the clear #1 seed in the NFC, but they are the clear Super Bowl Favorites at this point in the season. They've done it with a powerful rushing attack lead by Doug Martin and a ball hawking defense that has an incredible 29 interceptions and 9 forced fumbles. Mike Glennon has surprisingly stabilized the QB position with a 94.3 QB Rating and a 69% completion percentage. The NFC Championship clearly runs though Tampa.

    HB - Doug Martin

Martin is only 16 yards off of AP's league leading rushing yards at 1,587. Most experts expected Martin to be one of the better running backs in the league but nobody expected this. It is very possible that he could top the 2,000 yard rushing mark and is in the running of Offensive Player of the Year.

    CB Johnthan Banks

Not only is Banks the likely choice for NFC Defense Rookie of the Year, he may be the most valuable defensive player in the league right now. He's intercepted a league leading 10 passes and has added 41 tackles from the CB position. Quite simply, he's been all over the field - a bonafide star in the making.

    2 Seed - San Francisco 49ers 9-3 (NFC West Leader - Blackattack87 )

    Season Summary

There is a clear trend being established by the top teams in HK - you have to run the ball and get takeaways. The 49ers are among the league leaders in both. They used a balanced rushing attack with Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter, Colin Kap and Marcus Lattimore to form the 4th best rushing attack in the league (141 ypg). The Defense has 20 interceptions and 7 forced fumbles which has contributed to the league's 4th ranked defense. The big question for the 49ers moving forward is if they will be able hold off the Seahawks for the division title. The week 14 game between these two teams will be huge.

    Top Players
    [IMG]
    TE Vernon Davis

The 3rd down security blanket is having a very solid year for the 49ers. He has 16 more receptions than the next 49'er player and is averaging 13.2 yards per catch.
    MLB Patrick Willis

81 tackles. Willis is doing what Willis does - tackle everything. He is the clear leader on the 49ers defense and is the main reason his defense is ranked 4th in the league in points allowed and 6th in the league in rushing yards allowed.

3 Seed - Detroit Lions 8-4 (NFC North Leader)

    Season Summary

The top passing attack in HK has the Lions at 8-4 and atop the NFC North. Honestly, this is smoke and mirrors right now. I don't see a team with the 28th rank defense against the pass and the 28th ranked defense against the rush holding on to a slim 1 game lead over both the Packers and the Bears.

    Top Players
    [IMG]
    WR Calvin Johnson

Who else? Calvin is doing what Calvin does - 65 receptions, 1,043 yards and 11 TD's. He is performing like he normally does and that is the main reason that the Lions are leading the NFC North.
    DT Ndamukong Suh

Suh is holding down the middle for the Lions and he is doing it by putting up huge defensive stats. Suh has 51 tackles (for a DT?) and 10 sacks. He is truly living up to the hype that was put on him when coming out of Nebraska. Nevertheless, he's still a pos.

    4 Seed - Dallas Cowboys 7-5 (NFC East Leader - KNICKSFAN_84 )

    Season Summary

This year's Dallas Cowboys are very interesting. It is definitely a tale of two teams - 6-0 at home, 1-5 on the road. Surprisingly, the Cowboys have benched Tony Romo and have gone with the veteran Kyle Orton. Orton has responded with a decent season with a QB rating of 83. Nevertheless, the Cowboys are middle of the pack in virtually every statistical category. They are what they have been since the early 90's - an average fb team that is the beneficiary of a below average division.

    Top Players
    [IMG]
    HB Demarco Murray

Murray has had a very good season. 5.6 yards per carry and 1,100 yards rushing. Unfortunately, he is out for another 4 weeks.
    MLB Sean Lee

68 tackles for one of the better MLB's in the league. He is definitely overachieving based on the shitty college he attended.

    5 Seed - Seattle Seahawks 9-3 (1st Wildcard - Emmdotfrisk )

    Season Summary

Everyone's pick to win HK Next Gen Bowl I, the Seahawks are basically meeting expectations. If they can win their remaining game against the 49ers, they will most likely win the NFC West as expected. The Seahawks are lead by one of the most explosive offenses in HK. Marshawn Lynch is over 1000 yards and averaging 6.9 ypc while backup Robert Turbin is averaging 7.2 ypc with 588 yards rushing. The passing attack lead by Russell Wilson is middle of the pack but still explosive with Percy Harvin. The only weakness on this team? Do they have a go to "big time" WR that they can rely on in the clutch?

    Top Players
    [IMG]
    HB Marshawn Lynch

6.9 yards per carry, 1,045 yards rushing and 12 TD's = BEAST Mode.
    FS Earl Thomas

One of the leaders of the "Legion of Boom", Earl Thomas is leading the defense with 57 tackles and 4 picks. At 24 years of age, Thomas is already one of the best Free Safeties in the NFL.

    6 Seed - New York Giants 7-5 (2nd Wildcard - PepperNY )

    Season Summary

The Giants are currently HK's most prolific offense. They are averaging 335 yards per game and are 2nd in passing at 224.2 yards per game. With Eli Manning, Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks leading the Giants passing attack, there is no doubt that this team will continue to score points. The real question moving forward is if the Giants will be able to stop anyone. The Giant defense is rated 25th in points allowed and is 29th in the league in stopping the run. If the Giants can shore up the defense, they could be a tough out in the NFC playoffs.

    Top Players
    [IMG]
    WR Victor Cruz

The league leader in receptions with 71 and receiving yards with 1,201, Cruz is playing at a MVP level.
    SS Antrel Rolle

Rolle is having a very good season at the SS position with 5 interceptions and 53 tackles. He will need to continue this strong play if the Giants are to make the playoffs.
