Anyone see the ending of Chelsea v Fulham? It was insane. Clint Dempsey wins a soft penalty against David Luiz (who was man of the match by a mile) in the 92nd minute. Then he freaking hits it with his purse and Petre Cech saved it! What a bummer. Would've been nice to see those Chelsea pricks drop all the points. Still a nice result for Fulham, but they should've taken all 3. Exciting finish.
Yeah, that was a fantastic ending.. Still trying to figure out why Torres is starting over Drogba?? Torres may be the single most overrated player in the world. He was fantastic a couple of years ago but his form is simply not there and to leave Didier on the bench was just confusing.
It looks as though they are resting Drogba and thought they would snag 3 points without him in. They really turned up the heat in the final 15 after they put him in, but Fulham hung in there and really blew this game at the end. In fact, both sides missed out as Essien completely missed that header from I believe Kalou. I agree, Torres had some chances, I believe 3, that he could have put away.
You gotta love when the commentator goes "Torres! Is this his chance? ...No he's messed that up as well." I was literally LMAO'ing when he said that.
Got some extra free time this morning so I think I'm going to check out the real Juve squad on ESPN3.. Hopefully Matri & Toni continue their excellent form so the loss of Amauri won't be too hurtful when the update is released on Wednesday.
Leyton Orient got a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup against Arsenal and won themselves a replay (which is great for them... its gotta be worth an incredible amount of money for them). Oh, and Almunia is just the worst. I don't understand how he can just be so terrible.
Just sitting here doing some laundry and watching the replay of the Milan game and heard some interesting news. It seems Milan have already locked up the signing of Taye Taiwo from Marseille. After seeing a couple of his games this year and using Marseille in Season 1 here in the TFL, I have to say that's a great signing. Dude is pacey as hell and strong as an ox.. Milan should be really strong again next year. They also said that French International Phillipe Mexes will also probably end up at Milan. I want Milan next year in the TFL!!
I've been watching tons of Milan games this season. They are going to be TOUGH if they keep the core they have now. Haven't seen much of Taiwo but i will keep an eye out for him. Mexes is a nice player--I've always been a little disappointed in his consistency but he's got all the tools. Thiago Silva has started to prove he is the rock in CB that Rossoneri fans always thought he'd be.
