Coach Parrothead takes over the Cavs in midseason and is sent to Winston-Salem for his first game at the helm. While the Cavs would get off to a slow start adjusting to the new scheme, the Cavs finally got things going on their second drive with a 5 yard TD pass from Patrick Williams to Paul Bolen. After that, the defense just made the Demon Deacon O look like boys. The Deacs would get the ball to the UVA side of the field, but each time they would be forced to a long FG attempt. Each of the first four times, the kick came up short. The third one would be a killer as the Cavs would return it for a TD as the half expired. At the break, it was 28-0 Cavs.

The second half allowed the second string to get some reps out there. Although the D did give up 10 points, the 2nd string was able to move the ball and score on their own. The final score was 48-10, UVA.

Player of the game was HB Dwayne Porter. Porter ran for 136 yards on 25 carries and a TD, and had 1 catch for a 13 yard TD.

Next up for UVA is in-state rival Virginia Tech to end the regular season.
