    THIS VOTE IS MANDATORY!!!

As many of you are aware, EA has fixed the salary cap glitch on the EA server side. We had made the decision a few weeks back to turn the salary cap OFF in order to be able to continue the league with franchise functionality for the five teams with the glitch. As a result, we are unable to turn the salary cap back ON.

With the latest fix announced by EA, we are putting these options out there for YOU to decide...

The first option is that we can reboot the online CCM and start new with the salary cap ON. That means we'd be starting over from square one at the end of the current 2014 season. Everyone would have the option to keep their current team. For those who do not, we would put those teams in a "pool" and hold a re-draft for only those teams in the pool. With a reboot, the stock online roster would be used; injuries OFF of course.

The second option is that we can continue moving forward with the salary cap OFF and manage our salary cap in the forum. It is tedious and annoying and a lot of work, but doable.

We would need at least 85% of the league, or 27 owners, to vote YES in order to have the league rebooted. Anything less than that would mean we continue as we are.

Make your vote count, gentlemen. Feel free to respond and discuss.

Definite no for me even if it will be a pain in the butt. Also I think we have lost enough time on getting seasons in and do not want to go backwards. In a perfect world EA would have allowed folks to turn the salary cap back on.

I voted yes. Reason being I want to be able to utilize all of the available options within the CCM. It sucks to restart and lose players and progression as i love my team but i just think it would be easier at this point to restart.

I voted that I'm fine with whatever is decided. However, Curtis' response is my take on this issue.

I agree with you two, its so much more fun with all the functions. Any chance of doing a reboot, but simm 3 seasons ahead to sort of catch us up to where we would be now?

You pose a good question... I like it. We'd probably have to hold another vote on that IF it is decided to reboot.

This may seem like a far out idea but what about being able to keep the same folks you drafted in the current league if we rebooted. I really like how my current team is coming together and would really like to keep the guys I drafted.

We had already discussed that, but it would be too difficult to recreate this. Sorry Marvis.

Correct, we would not have the same draft classes.

These bastards need to make it so we can turn it back on. I am really liking how my team is coming together and the thought of rebooting bums me out because I am not like most people and would play madden up until the release of the next one. Because I know most people are not like that I think the quality of the league suffers a little shortly after football season is over for the obvious reasons of the weather being better.

Do you know when, and who/what is the source? We would love to be able to have that option.

sorry guys but your going to get a no from me and I have probably the most to gain by restarting as I'd get Drew Brees back. I have had fun building the team I have and I see this as a major setback for the league after all our progression, the time we have put in to the draft and the countless hours of negotiations working out trades.

I voted no!! Starting over at this point will mean that we probably only get one more good season in. Plus I needed both offseasons just to get my team to a style I like to play with. Starting over will let a lot of energy out of the league IMO. Leaving it as it won't hurt anything other than the use of one feature!! And before we make another quick decision we should see if they fix the current problem!! I believe we turned off the salary cap because we didn't think EA would patch it and they did. So we need to stop having knee jerk reactions and deal with the situation we're in.
