    Week 1 Review
    AL East

The website seems to think that the Orioles are in last place here after 1 week, but the O's are actually leading the division. It's been a rough start for the East with just 1 team over .500. The good news though is that these week 1 performances haven't put anyone in a position where it'll be exceptionally tough to come back. Any team can still take the divisional crown.

    AL Central

    AL Central W1.png

If week 1 means anything, the AL Central is looking like a 2 horse race between the Royals and Indians. The Twins got swept by the Indians while the Tigers are facing a potential sweep against the Royals as well. There's plenty of baseball still to be played(especially in this division), but the 3 game series between Cleveland and Kansas City is looking huge right now.

    AL West

Talk about walking into the right situation for bblack16 . Not many people had the Astros pegged as a potential division champ coming into this season with them being a CPU team and having a generally awful roster, but they're the only remaining undefeated team in TCBL. I'm sure thirdalarm , cadepetty247 , and controllerabuser are up for the challenge of chasing him down though and not letting the Astros run away with the division.

    NL East

    NL East W1.png

Week 1 hasn't been kind to the Marlins. The NL East is looking like one of the toughest divisions with even the CPU Phillies coming in over .500. This one looks like it'll be a very tight race all the way to the wire.

    NL Central

    NL Central W1.png

Holy games played, Batman. The Reds and Brewers are already halfway done with the season and the Cardinals aren't far behind. The Cubs are off to a nice 4-2 start, but staring up at the Reds 12-4 record has to be demoralizing. Even the Brew Crew at 11-5. It would take a miracle for the Cards to turn around their season, but it's hard to imagine someone other than the Reds or Brewers taking the NL Central crown.

    NL West

    NL West W1.png

After starting off 1-2, the CPU Padres have rebounded going 5-1 over their last 6 games and taking control over the lowly NL West. The Rockies, Giants, and Dodgers essentially all have the same record after Week 1, but the Diamondbacks have found themselves in a tough spot early. It's not as bad as the Cardinals situation with them only being a few games behind 2nd and it's hard to see a CPU team winning the division, but they need to turn things around quick.

The Cubs are hanging in there! Having more success than I thought. Justin Ruggiano has been a pleasant surprise, as well as Darwin Barney's offensive production.. He's provided more than what I had him pegged to contribute ALL SEASON.

Still have an uphill battle against a very good and very experienced Reds squad, and the over-achieving Milwaukee Brewers.

And by the way.. how does a team have a .78 ERA through 5 games? Jesus. Capp balls so hard.
