Wow all I can say is Wow for the performance so far of Tebow and his passing game, to go along with the great defense that the Broncos are playing. If anyone would have said this would happen in the first half of the game would be a liar, lol now if only Tebow playing like this today on Madden!
All I can say is Tim Tebow = Broncos QB of the future, also a great defensive performance by the Broncos defense too, but you gotta give it to Tebow he played amazing today.
one good game does not make a franchise QB. he will last as long as the wildcat offense lasted 2 maybe 3 yrs counting this season.
I tend to agree that, that offense is a gimmick that teams will continually play better and better against BUT don't count out the fact that Tebow can also continue to grow and evolve as well. No one expected the Broncos to beat the Steelers, myself included, so you have to tip your cap to Tebow there. I'm not saying I'm a believer or anything but still, they did just win a playoff game over a pretty good team. Granted that game may not have went to overtime if Tebow had made a few more throws in the 4th quarter. Does anyone remember that turd of a throw on 3rd on 8 before they punted back to the Steelers? No, of course not. A franchise QB makes that throw every time. The point though is that anything could happen - Tebow wins and loses in dramatic fashion. It will be his ability to improve and evolve that determines his fate as a viable long term answer at QB.
I wonder why other mediocre players don't get the media coverage Teebow gets. Only QB ever that gets praise for making routine passes that he is supposed make.
No one has praised Tebow for making a routine pass, they praise him for winning. I really dont care about how many touchdowns you throw for if you lose the game. if your QB rating is 158 but you lose, i could care less. He wins, its the only stat that matters. You're nit picking now! That game would not have gone into overtime if Champ Bailey intercepted Big Ben's pass to the endzone, in which they later scored the tying touchdown just a few plays later. And yes, he made a bad throw on 3rd and 8 to a open receiver but he was also about to be pummeled by a D-Lineman spying him. He should've made it, but hes only been starting for 12 games, give him a break.
Talk to me when the cowboys get a Franchise qb not named Troy Aikman. The kid had a good game and made great throws on the deep balls yesterday and played well, give him his due.
talk to me when tebow completes higher than 50% of his passes in a season.. beating a injured Big Ben and a team that was way overlooking doesn't look doesn't count in my eyes.. Beat the Patriots a team who's coach won't let them look past them and then we will talk about whether he belongs.
Well the answer to that is pretty simple. First, there has never been as polarizing a QB. He's public devotion to his religion is unlike anything I''ve ever seen. Some people HATE him for that. Nobody hates mediocre players like that, because nobody cares. But the religioius facet of it inherently makes him controversial...and not in a Michael Vick kind of way. Second, he isn't just a run of the mill player with a regular background...he won a Heisman and a national championship. He got tons of media attention before people questioned him in every way, shape, and form. Its cyclical, really. Haters don't understand why he gets so much praise for seemingly routine plays. Proponents don't understand why there is so much hate. They feed off of one another.
you said Romo is a top 5 QB that should make him a franchise QB. Cowboys also had Bledsoe who was a franchise QB.
I did not say Romo was a top 5 QB I gave him a spot in the top 9, but that does not make you a franchise QB. Also when the Cowboys got Bledsoe he was not a franchise QB, he was damaged goods.
Doesn't count in your eyes? I'm pretty sure Denver is going to New England so in the record books it definitely counts and for the millions of people that tuned in to watch that game it counts. As for beating an injured Big Ben, well Big Ben is known as playing hurt, give the Broncos defense credit they came with some good pressure and got the job done. Also against the number one defense in the NFL, Tebow threw for 316 yards and for the first time all year the Steelers allowed a 100 yard receiver (actually 200 by Thomas) so Denver played well and earned their victory yesterday. Don't try to short them on a big win for the team. Not against my Patriots, sorry but I don't see them having a chance as Brady and Co. are gonna come out and play hard and hopefully put it in cruise control for the second half but Denver has helped themselves in terms of potential free agents being attracted to Denver and to getting Tebow some help offensively and being a team to beat in the future.
Why does it have to be hate? Why cant people criticize his play like we do with every other pro athlete? I guess it has to be religion and that makes even more dumb.
It isn't criticism, though. I am no huge proponent of Tebow, nor religious. I respect the guy, but I think he's over the top with a lot of this stuff. People defend him as adamantly as they criticize him. Like I said, one side feeds the other. Its not criticism, its hate. I have NEVER heard a guy criticized quite like this:
I think I liked you better when you were talking trash to other people - not talking about the real life Bills. Trust me, you don't want to go there.
have any of the tebow supporters actually seen him throw? he hits like 30% of passes that a QB should routinely make. The thing that pisses me off is that his supporters thinks he works harder than everyone else, has more desire to be good than everyone else and is not true. Tebow could work all day and all night for the rest of his career and he would still not be a good passer. There is a limit of how much talent you actually have. I am pretty sure Rex Grossman works just as hard as he does and has the desire to be better. Some people are not cut out to play Starting QB for a lengthy period of time. Do i believe Tebow should be in the NFL yeah. he would make a good career backup QB who could come in for a injured or/struggling starter. He just isn't a long term answer as a starter. If he wants to start he should switch positions.
I have seen Tebow throw, and when people say he works hard, were talking on the field also. Whether he will be a long term QB or not remains to be seen and whether he has success or not remains to be seen. But to say he isn't a long term answer as a starter is premature.
Question: Will Tim Teblow be a starting NFL QB in 3 years? Answer: No He will be preaching somewhere down in Kentucky instead
